Hotel had good facilities and well situated. Staff also friendly. Everyone from reception, the bar and room service were very helpful and pleasant.
Whilst our Suite was a good size (room 313), it definitely was in need of some modernisation. The Bathroom was dated and tired. The shower pressure was dreadful, and the toilet flush kept breaking; meaning we had to keep taking the top of the toilet off to reconnect the mechanism. There was also black around some of the silicone, and it’s clearly a dated bathroom which could do with some work.
Another issue was we booked a room suitable for dogs, however the balcony was not sub-divided. This meant if our dog was loose he could freely walk to either of the 2 balconies on either side of us. We therefore were unable to let our dog onto it.
Also, the heating was poor and the radiators didn’t get warm at all despite putting them on maximum. Likewise, although the air con maximised to 30 degrees it wasn’t adequate. We visited in October and it was around 9-15 degrees. When the temp drops significantly in a few weeks I wouldn’t recommend staying there.
Also, a more minor point, but the trailing wires across walls for both TVs were a bit of an eyesore. Some trunking would tidy that up a lot. Just a minor detail.
The food and drink we had at the hotel was all good, and the parking excellent; though be aware of an additional charge of £22.50 - not unreasonable for the location, and felt a safe place to park.
