"Clean, spacious room in a historic building. Underground car park nearby and in the heart of a shopping area with great restaurants choices too. Perfect shopping location! And only a 20 min drive into Amsterdam airport, which makes this a great location for a flight option. Hotel staff are fantastic, and Luisa was incredible making check-in both easy and informative, including history of the building. Unfortunately no air conditioning (yet)."

"Very nice room just steps from the Haarlem train station. Very convenient for getting into Amsterdam and for exploring Haarlem itself."

"The hotel had a lovely lobby, the restaurant was great, they gave you free drinks in the restaurant if you didn't want your room cleaned. The location was great, east walk to the centre of town and groceries and also right across from a lovely walking park. Very quiet and beds were great."

"The excellent staff did all they could to make or stay as pleasant as possible. However, the rooms were outdated and a bit scruffy. We had to ask for the rugs to be vacuumed and the bathroom floor washed before we felt comfortable with the cleanliness. The major drawbacks were that the hotel is without air conditioning and some rooms are quite noisy, as they are on the street with bar and restaurants all along the street on which the hotel resides. That said, I would consider looking at it again...

The shower sometimes made a weird burbling noise (I think when someone else in the building was taking a shower?), and when it was hot outside the room got very hot (a small fan would go a long ways, there was no breeze from the window even when it cooled off outside), and the construction noises from the floor below started early. Carpet was old and worn, with a bleached out spot on it, but was otherwise clean. Continental breakfast was...

"All was the perfect place to spend the night before an early flight. There is a shuttle 24/7. But the hotel is a bit far from the airport. The car serves limited and kind of not very healthy food. There is a Brazilian meat restaurant with a nice salad bar next door but pretty expensive!"

"Absolutely terrible. The reception staff are literally ret*rded. They charge for the 'discount already applied'. Just lost almost 20 euros of key cash because they insisted that was to be paid at reception. They also refused to give me an invoice. "
