"We don’t have a whole lot to complain about, so 4 stars is harsh, but Expedia didn’t give a 4.5 star option. It was a clean and quiet hotel where the rooms and public areas were all in good shape. (We didn’t have time to use their spa and pool.) If we were to stay in this area, I wouldn’t mind picking this hotel again. (I might prefer a different lake for water activities to avoid the freeway noise at Donner Lake, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.)

"The room was really dirty. Entry was covered in sticky stuff on wall and floor. Desk and table had sticky mess and drink rings. Behind the bed on lights more sticky stuff. Cheese that was old was wrapped in a rubber band on the floor. The drawers on the dresser would not close and stayed open a foot taking people out when they walked by. We stayed in the sunset tower so it was very convenient being right by the parking lot so it was easy in and out. My only complaint was that one of the elevators was out of order, but other than that everything was perfect!"

"Heater was broken, took 4 different ppl to finally come fix it only for it to break again. Manager moved us to a different room but we spent the first 2 nights in the cold. At the new room, someone was smoking in the hallway and it seemed into our room. I called the front desk and they said thanks for letting us know and did nothing about it. For how much I paid I am upset about my experience. (Oh and you have to pay extra for parking!) Im not coming back here."

"I would stay here again. On site sauna and gym open til 10pm, gym is small but clean. They also have an on-site restaurant thats extra but breakfast was fresh and quality was excellent. One mile walk into downtown Truckee and 0.5 mile walk to nearest plaza that has a decent Thai and wine restaurant. Short 20 mins drive from Palisades if there's no traffic."

"I really liked this hotel! Stayed 2 nights. Right on the beach. Updated, clean, comfortable. The front desk gal was kind and helpful. The room had everything we needed. The hot tub on the deck overlooking the lake was wonderful as was the pool. Great location to walk to restaurants. I would stay again and recommend to others."
