Our Family stayed here for a week. The house was lovely, with lots of space. Large open plan living room, Dining area and kitchen with doors opening out to the pool area. Plenty of spacious bedrooms.
The Pool and garden area attracted us in the first place, and it didn't disappoint. There is plenty of space to chill out and play games after spending the day exploring Bordeaux. Spots in the sun, or shady spots when it gets too warm.
The host also provided a gas BBQ area by the pool which was very useful.
We travelled by car, and made use of the Park and Ride facilities for the Tram system for accessing Bordeaux City. The nearest park and ride was close by at the "Parc-relais Arts & Métiers". For 4.50 Euro you get a full day parking in a secure Multi Storey Car Park, and this includes return travel on the Tram for up to 7 people into the centre of Bordeaux.
There are local vinyards to visit, and a trip to Saint-Émilion and its numerous vineyards just under an hour away is a must for a day visit.
We didn't have time to visit the local beeches on this trip.
The local village of Gradignan is close by with everything you need from Groceries, Boulangerie, & Pharmacie. There are a variety of lovely restaurants serving typical French menus and more.
There is a large eLeclerc Supermarket close by.
We highly recommend this property and its hosts for families with young and older children. We would recommend a stay in this family home to anyone wishing to visit Bordeaux
