Bloom as you are is an oasis of peace where culture, art, and nature come together to evoke relaxation, beauty, and poetry. We are an apartment with the atmosphere of an art studio, filled with art and magic, located in a strategic part of Bologna—a 15-minute walk from the airport and a 20-minute bus or car ride from downtown. Here, every detail is designed to make you feel at home, surrounded by sustainable design inspired by my travels around the world and my passions—culture, art, nature, and beauty in all its various forms. You’ll find books and handicrafts from around the world that you’re welcome to browse. You’ll find a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, electric oven, dishes, silverware, glasses, and everything you need to make your stay comfortable—all complemented by artisanal pieces from around the world, such as breakfast table runners made in India, mugs from Laos, and other items from France, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam.... For us, hospitality means sharing a part of our heart that is rooted in the tradition of making everyone feel welcomed into the family, just as people once lived in the countryside; and at the same time, it is a heart with a global outlook, observed and experienced with a gaze that goes beyond the surface—one that seeks out authentic life stories, local crafts, and stories of sustainability—especially those led by women—who, through small, gentle steps, are striving to create a better world. The apartment is also located in a detached house, so you’ll have complete privacy. My mother lives in the apartment next door and will be happy to welcome you and suggest any tours you might want to take in the city. The garden is spacious and features a comfortable porch where you can relax even if it rains—just check with my mother first. Our wish is to make your stay an unforgettable experience: warm, full of beauty and tranquility—a “slow living” experience close to nature from which to draw new inspiration. We love to welcome you in person in the afternoon starting at 4:00 PM, but we’re happy to accommodate your schedule! If you arrive earlier, we offer free luggage storage upon request, so you can start exploring Bologna right away with lighter luggage. You have access to every part of the apartment except the terrace, which is for my mother’s exclusive use. The apartment is located in the Birra hamlet of the Borgo Panigale neighborhood, a quiet area equipped with all the amenities. Just a short walk away, you’ll find a café, tobacco shop, newsstand, bakery, and hair salon… Additionally, just a short walk away, there are parks where children and/or your four-legged friends can play, and where you can enjoy pleasant walks surrounded by the lush greenery along the Reno River. The area is close to downtown Bologna (just 20 minutes by bus or car, traffic permitting) and to all amenities, yet it retains a sense of serenity and peace, thanks to its extensive green space. My mom loves flowers, so you’ll find the garden—no matter the season—filled with beautiful plants and seasonal blooms, which are sure to make your stay even more enjoyable.
