The Wander Inn - Nestled in the heart of Downtown Blowing Rock, one block to Main Street!

Leave your cares behind at The Wander Inn! Perfectly located in Downtown Blowing Rock, just a block to the historic Main Street shopping & dining, this townhome is the ideal home base for all your Blowing Rock adventures!

Entering the property is easy, with zero steps through the garage. The ground floor offers a family room with comfortable furnishings arranged around a built in wall of shelves and an HDTV, as well as a half bath with laundry. The eat-in kitchen is updated with stainless steel appliances and comes with all the cooking basics you'll need to prepare meals - if you can resist the temptation to grab dinner from one of the many restaurants within easy walking distance, that is!

The Wander Inn offers three great bedrooms. On the second floor, one story up from the ground floor, you'll find a King suite with private bathroom, and a second King suite. At the top, on the third floor, you'll find the third bedroom with a Queen bed and a twin daybed with trundle.

Outside on the ground level is a lovely fenced in patio, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere in Downtown Blowing Rock. There is one parking space outside as well as room for two mid-size vehicles inside the garage.

The Wander Inn is perfectly located just steps off Sunset Drive, facing The Inn at Ragged Gardens and the Blowing Rock Alehouse. With such a convenient location, you won't need to worry about finding a parking spot to explore Historic Main Street - just lock the front door and walk up the street. Wander Inn to this great home today!

Important Notes:
- This property is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets to this home.
- Max of 3 cars allowed (2 in garage, 1 in the parking lot) Do not park in the neighbor's carport, please.
- This property is an end unit townhome, so it does have shared walls with the next door unit. Please be respectful of the neighbors and keep noise, music, and conversations to a reasonable level.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.

CANCELLATION POLICY -
Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of he deposit.
Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Yes all was good. Perfect location. Beds were comfortable which is usually not the case with a rental. House was very clean. If I could mention one thing, it would be nice if more seating in den especially when you have 5 adults. Also an ottoman would be good. I would still give 5 stars however

This was the perfect spot for our family!! Our kids (ages 7, 10 and 13) all loved the loft space. As parents, we loved being able to walk to dinner each night and being so close to the shops. Tweetsie and Mystery Hill were just a short drive away! The place was roomy and very clean.

Incredible location, close to so many restaurants and shopping. 2 minute walk to the park, which was very important to us traveling with 4 kids under 6. Large bedrooms and updated bathrooms plus the loft area for the kids was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Great Location, Kid Friendly

Great spot in downtown Blowing Rock, very short walk to the playground. The space overall is perfect for a family with young ones. Access to the garage was super convenient to put the stroller and other kid items. With rain and the overall moisture, it's understandable to have mildew, but could benefit from a little outdoor cleaning to make the outdoor area more appealing. There was also a peculiar smell (musty?) on the main floor, couldn't figure out from where/what, noticed when we first checked in and each time we'd leave/return or come downstairs from the upper floors. We opened a window occasionally which did help. Wasn't a huge deal just worth possibly mentioning. Overall awesome stay, super easy to check in, beds were comfortable, bath tub for the kids or a shower with a removable head to clean them. Recommend, and would stay again!

The property was comfortable and well furnished. Comfortable beds and linens, blankets as an option to the Duvets. Full function kitchen, toaster needs an upgrade. VERY convenient location, close to many shops and restaurants in downtown Blowing Rock. Easy walking distance. Quiet location. Good parking. Lots of information on things to do in the area

Great location. Parking a little iffy.

Overall, it was a good stay. However, it was hard to determine where to park and the entrance gate and steps were slick from the snow and ice. Once inside, the quality was good, but there was a half full garbage bag left in the kitchen and a few light bulbs were out. Finally, the fees more than DOUBLED the total cost of this rental. Although the location was very good, I'm sorry to say we're not likely to rent this one again.

Fall Friends Trip

Amazing property for a fun family, friend trip. The location is perfect if you want to walk to the town of Blowing Rock to explore. The house has a great layout with lots of space! The bedrooms are great size with bathrooms to join. The outside area is nice for little kids since it is gated. Definitely want to rebook since the property manager was easy to communicate with and very friendly.

Great location, poor management

I do not normally leave reviews, however given the experience during our stay I feel it's important. When we first entered the townhouse there was a potent horrible smell. We inspected everywhere and noticed the smell was most pungent downstairs. We couldn't find a source, but thankfully the weather was nice and we were able to leave windows open to air it out and had to leave the townhouse for the evening. I called and texted the contact number(s). I was told they would notify the operations team. I never heard back until the following day via email around noon. We were only offered a cleaning team, but considering the smell was tolerable with windows open, we opted to not have our weekend trip further disturbed since we were leaving the next morning. Upon departure we finally realized the horrible smell was gas from the fireplace. I was given another email to customer service and notified them promptly. A phone call was finally made and I told her of the experience. Their final resolution was to refund a very small portion of the expense and to let us know that their tech team did not find any smell. The dismissal to the issue of the smell/gas leak means they did not resolve the issue and being told there was no smell is highly unbelievable. The townhouse is as pictured, but I would be wary of the management company. The display of incompetence by this management company is loud.

Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show

We were in for the horse show and this was the perfect location. Plenty of room, enjoyed the collection of games and, not that we cooked, but the kitchen had everything you’d need or want. Would definitely stay again.

Fabulous location for downtown shops and restaurants. Property is as advertised. Clear directions and information in notebooks for renters. We hiked off the Blue Ridge Parkway and it was only minutes away. Highly recommended.
