The home's interior is comfortably designed to keep you fully immersed in the spirit of Kentucky after a long day of tastings and touring. There is plenty of space for guests to relax, rest, or gather for play.

-Very quiet, and the evenings may offer sounds of crickets and cicadas, depending on the season
-Countryside setting means there aren't surrounding city lights, street lights, traffic lights which it can be very dark outside but offers amazing star gazing
-Wildlife live in the area (fox, deer, raccoons, groundhogs) and Kentucky has its share of bugs, especially in the spring and summer months. We encourage guests to keep doors closed in the spring and summer to keep insects outside.

-Guest will enter property through the side door located beside the garage via 4 digit code issued day of check-in. Code will not be sent if Rental Agreement is not signed.

Charred Oak Reserve, sister property of The Buckley Stay, is an ideal retreat for groups who want to enjoy time together without being on top of each other. The layout of the property gives everyone enough room to spread out and choose their own pace. The game room is completely separate from the main house, making it easy for some guests to sleep, while others enjoy late night laughs. Out back is the wood burning fire pit and the hot tub patio.

The five bedroom home is tastefully decorated with bourbon themed flair, using quality linens, comfortable pillows, and brand new memory foam mattresses to give you a well-rested sleep after a long day. Each bedroom has it's own Smart TV for you to stream from your own accounts (no cable).

There are three bathrooms offering plenty of room and privacy. The home has a new tankless hot water heater to ensure up to 10 guest will have hot showers. Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion) and plush towels provided.

1st floor: Full bathroom with tub/ shower combo
2nd floor: Full bathroom with tub/ shower combo

The kitchen is fully-equipped for preparing large meals, and has island seating for four. The dining table is generously sized for eight guests, but easily transforms to seat ten guests comfortably. (Table leaf stored in the hall closet). With the open spaced floor plan, whether you're cooking dinner, settling into games, or watching TV in the living room, everyone stays connected for memorable nights.
•Note: No garbage disposal because we are on a septic system

There are various areas of the property designed for gathering or spreading out so everyone can enjoy the stay in their own way while staying connected:

-The outdoor wood burning fire pit (fire starter and fire wood provided) invites great conversation, laughter, and star gazing
-Steps off of the kitchen onto the back patio, the hot tub is the perfect place to unwind under the open sky along side a fire pit table for lounging
-Open concept living space with electric fireplace and 55" TV
Our location is 7 miles east of Bloomfield, KY. Transportation is necessary to get around and Uber and share ride services aren't typical in the area.
Host can recommend the best distillery tour guides for arranging distillery tours, tastings, and overall transportation.
*Prior to your stay, we require you to complete a pre-arrival form and sign and agree to our rental conditions.
-The guest is responsible for their own travel insurance to cover any delays and/or cancellations. Host purchases damage insurance for each guest.
-No glass is allowed in the hot tub- any glass in the hot tub will result in a $250.00 fine
-This is a no smoking property- any evidence of smoking inside the house will result in a $500.00 fine
-No pets are allowed- any evidence of pets on property will result in a $250.00 fine and guest asked to leave immediately without refund.
