The staff was polite and professional. The location is very close to tmajor highway, which makes it appealing to travelers. The property exterior, both the building and pavement outside the lobby need to be cleaned and refreshed. The elevator is frightening. The floor buttons are worn, the elevator door is creaky and slowly closes and then jerks closed. There is no elevator inspection notice or any holder to display the inspection report. I think it's a requirement to have elevators inspected and report displayed. There is an unclean odor in the bedroom corridors. Although the overall bedroom and bath appeared to be clean the bathroom shower had stains in the corners and on the floor. There is a separaton between the frame of the access door to the room and the door,causing the hallway lighting to shine directly into the room. Sidebar: As I was waiting for the clerk to finish my reservation process I noticed an annoucement notice on the counter. Parapharse: "Due to recent circumstances locals will be required to pay a $300.00 deposit refundable once your have checked out and your room has been inspected prior to leaving." Rather an unnerving statement. I did consider leaving. However, I had just driven 11 hours and very tired. I am a busines strategy coach by profession. If you were my client I would suggest you close the hotel, refresh it from foundation to roof and exterior to make it more appealing and then have a major marketing campaign.
