ONLY 2 MILES TO LAKE ENTRANCE, NEW BREWERY, WINERY, DISTILLERY. Remodeled Log Cabin with luxury pillows, sheets, towels. Use our State Park pass to save $7 dollars a day. Our wooded park like property is next to a creek where deer & wildlife live. Enjoy the screened in front porch or the back deck that opens into the woods with a perfect layout including 14 foot swimspa, fire pit & propane grill. Downstairs Master bedroom. Matching queen beds in loft bedroom upstairs, electric fireplace, AC/heat, complete kitchen items, luxury grill with stovetop burners, 50 inch Smart TV with Bluetooth sound bar, High Speed internet, DIRECTV. Cell phones work great. 2 fire pits in a quiet wooded setting. WE ALWAYS OFFER EARLY CHECKIN AND CHECK OUT WHEN AVAILABLE! No boat parking, however offered up the road.

When using Hot tub/ Swim spa , Remember there are certain health risk associated with using any hot tub spa. The water temperature should never be over 104°. Do not drink alcohol or take medication without consulting a doctor in advance. Pregnant women should never use a hot tub. Youth under 16 years of age should be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Pets are never permitted in the hot tub water. Please shower before and after hot tub usage to avoid skin irritation, outdoor shower provided. Also do not wear any oil’s or Lotions, bug repellent in hot tub water. Always make sure your feet are clean and leaves and debris stay out of the water. Do not sit or stand on hot tub covers or mounted wooded bar along the length of the swim spa. Covers are NOT designed to support a person or persons as they will break and you will be charged for replacement. Please keep spa covers on the spa when not in use to keep the spa hot. The spa water condition is checked before and after guest arrival and departure. Upon check-in if you notice anything wrong with the spa please contact the hostess or host immediately . Your cooperation is much appreciated. Each person using the hot tub will need to sign a waiver agreeing to these conditions and releasing the homeowner of any liability before using the hot tub spa. Enjoy the swimspa!!

We would like to point out this region of Indiana has hills. Even the Patoka Lake boat launches are mostly on hills. The State of Indiana Police patrols the State and County Roads and enforces the speed limit. NO BOATS. The Shaded Log Cabin is on a private road which does not have any cross traffic. It is a very rural quiet setting. Most all the Log Cabins‘s on the private road are second homes. We hope you make our Log Cabin your Log Cabin on a regular basis.

A wonderful little cabin in a beautiful setting. Every amenity provided. Clean. Comfortable. Swim spa is an added luxury. An enclosed front porch and covered back porch with lots of comfy seating. A super location. 10 mins from a brewery, distillery,and winery. Super host. We enjoyed it all.

Love love this cute cabin! Super clean! Well stocked! The SwimSpa is all that andmore. We were able to do an early check in. Communication was amazing and Pam was always there if you had any questions. Felt at home!

Girls trip

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. They had everything that we needed. I was impressed by the cleanliness. As a person with chronic back pain, my back did not hurt after lying down on the queen bed upstairs. The swim spa was awesome! I recommend staying at this cabin!

Host was very Attentive from the first time I reached out to them and all during the stay they have been very attentive. The cabin was amazing the jacuzzi was great. Cute little spot

What a nice little find! We came here for a little rest and relaxation and were not disappointed. We absolutely loved the back deck with the comfy outdoor sectional. Had morning coffee, listened to the birds, saw the deer and it was perfect. The swim spa was very nice as well. Took a raft and just floated. The location was in a nice quiet area and we took walks to see all the other cabins and such. It is on the small side, but for 2 of us, it was no problem. Thanks for opening your home to us! We will be back!

Great place!

I had a professional conference in French Lick and stayed in the cabin for an extended weekend from Thursday through Sunday. What a great place! The cabin is conveniently located near French Lick. It is very peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway near Lake Patoka and French Lick. The property managers are very good to work with. We will definitely be back!

Great Place to Unwind

We rented this cabin several months ago in anticipation of the 2024 eclipse viewing which we were able to view perfectly from the cabin site. Both of us work full time and welcomed a retreat to unplug and reconnect with eachother and our two furbabies. This cabin was the perfect spot! The responsive owners thought of all the details from extra blankets to flashlights and card games. There are hooks placed where they need to be, battery operated candles and so many other goodies you will appreciate. The swim spa and both front and back decks were awesome.They were even equipped with gates so we were able to keep both dogs easily contained. We grilled, made smores at the fire pit which was well stocked with wood, and snuggled up on the cozy couch in the evening times. The Patoka Lake trails are nearby, and we utilized the pass to go on a day hike which our dogs appreciated. The cabin area was quiet, serene, full of amenities and had everything we needed for a successful stay. The wildlife view from the cabin was amazing as well! Don't pass on this one!

Beautiful Cabin in a Beautiful Place

The cabin was cozy and warm, great for a weekend getaway for our family. It was truly wonderful to sit in the hot tub and listen to the wind through the trees.

Clean and cozy

Cleanest vacation rental we have ever stayed in. Quiet location on a one-lane gravel road through the woods that was perfect for walking our dog. We saw deer on our walks each day. Several other cabins are within view, but the woods between each one provides some seclusion. The small cabin was a perfect size for our party of two and a dog. Cute decor inside, and the front and back outdoor spaces are awesome. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful Stay at Shaded Woods Cabin

We had a great stay at this beautiful cozy cabin. Enjoyed the fall scenery around Patoka Lake. A very enjoyable getaway. Highly recommended.

Incredible stay and service!

What a wonderful trip! From the cabin to the swim spa to the location, everything was just perfect! The property manager, Jason, was especially helpful and accommodating. I cannot imagine how anything could have been better. Our children loved the loft area and everything about the location, and our dog would definitely agree. My husband and I appreciated that everything had been selected with kindness and love: nothing was missed nor shortchanged in this place! Thanks again for an incredible stay and such incredible service. We would love to return in the future.

Short Anniversary stay

This is a cute clean little cabin. The inside was very cute and tidy, the outside could use a little more attention though. The front porch was very cute but could use a little more cleaning as there were cobwebs all over in the screened in front porch. The swim spa would have been great except for the fact that only one side had functioning water jets. I understand about the water fall not working as parts are probably difficult to get and we were informed of the issue ahead of time but only the left side jets were working ...that was disappointing. I would recommend having someone check that out as another part may need to be ordered. I would also like to mention that none of the solar lights or rope lights are working anywhere outside (front , side or back areas) as well . That is especially dangerous when using the steps that go around the hot tub to the grill and fire pit area. I almost fell down the steps the first evening as I could not see the steps in the darkened corner. A string or two of white LED Christmas lights (as rope lighting is more expensive )would probably work around the railing to help light the steps and maybe even a string or two above the hot tub on the pergola structure. All in all it was a nice stay as the cabin was clean and well stocked. Thanks for sharing your little get away place!! Thank you, Tracy and Fred
