Nice relaxing stay.

Really enjoyed our stay for our family of four. Only improvement we would suggest is a thorough cleaning of the cabin. Not a big issue, but the condo could use a good dusting. Recommend the cabin to others.

Just I want to mention the washer was full or dirty towels, I washed everything included that’s but I left in the dryer because I find know what’s to do with all that extra towels.

Central location on a quite street

Had the pleasure of staying at this property during a recent ski trip. The property was larger than I expected and the home itself was the perfect size for a 3-bedroom cabin. It sits on a quite street not far from a central road which allows quick access to the grocery store, ski resorts and main street. The hot tub was large and served as a nice treat after a day of skiing, it did not offer much privacy which I don't mind but others might. I would for sure stay again. The only VERY minimal cons were the home was less stocked than I am used to and did not have bathing soaps, the tv was small for the room size, and would suggest more seating in the living room for larger parties. Luckily, it was just two of us or it would have been pretty uncomfortable hanging around the fire.

Perfect for a small group

Great location between bear and summit. You can also walk to some coffee shops and restaurants in about 15 minutes. Only issues we had were that some of the doors would get stuck or lock us in a room so might be time to change some of the door knobs or reset the doors in the frames.

Great location

The house was comfortable and worked well for our purposes. if you are looking for something fancy, this might not be your best choice, but if what you want is a comfortable place to lay your head and rest your body, then this will do quite nicely.

Overall a good experience

We had a lot of fun here and, for the most part, the place was perfect for a family with kids and dogs to enjoy a mountain getaway. My only complaints are the lack of screens on windows and slider door. It was pretty hot with no AC and would have been great to be able to open up the house without worrying about bugs. Also, the coffee pot is not very user friendly, next time I would bring my own as the one in the cabin makes a mess when you use it. Otherwise, it was really awesome and comfortable.

Do not recommend staying here

We were looking forward to our getaway with the kids in big bear and unfortunately the house did not meet expectations at all. The house was very dirty; old food left on the floors and outside on the porches. You could easily tell it was not vacuumed as there was white dog hair all over the carpets. The countertops were dirty. I tried to clean the house up, however we were left with one 3/4 roll of paper towels (no cleaning rags) and no cleaning supplies. When cooking meals, the pots and pans were so old and caked with old food, they were not useable. Not to mention, there were no oven mits, cooking oils or sprays. The beds were less then, and they didn’t even have fitted sheets on any of them, so the sheets constantly moved when you did while sleeping. And lastly, the thermostat was controlled. They would turn it off at midnight (or keep re-setting it low) which left the house cold, and in my opinion absolutely uncomfortable especially for our babies (10 months and 3 y/o). The only good about this house was the spa and it’s close location to the village. I sadly would not recommend this cabin; especially at this price and clearly, the cleaning fee isn’t being absorbed and used as it should. We were disappointed to say the least.

1st Experience

When we arrived to cabin back slider facing front was unlocked and open, cabin was NOT clean and had to clean ourselves, open food on counter and in cupboards, jacuzzi wasn’t working, games available were missing pieces, upstairs beds were fine for our kids, however husband and I had to sleep on floor and couch as downstairs bed was broken on one side (have photo) Overall, will never stay here again.

Good Location/Spa, but that's it

Pros: The location was great, nice neighborhood and very close to the slopes. The spa was big and clean. Nice fenced in backyard for the dogs. Cons: The biggest con was someone was changing the thermostat to 55 at night, so it was VERY cold. The property owners have a google nest account so they controlled the temperature even though we were told they did not (but who else could have changed it when we didn't?). My grandson did not sleep well because of this and made it difficult to get a good night's sleep for all of us (he normally sleeps through the night without waking up). It's advertised there two QUEEN beds and 1 full, but there are actually 2 FULL size beds and 1 queen. There's a "pretend" closet in one of the rooms, but it just opens up to the laundry room, so no closet in that room. Bring the following items with you: sauté pans (there was only 1 sauté pan and it had a rounded bottom so it didn't lay flat while cooking (sigh) and having just ONE pan delayed getting food on the table especially when you had to babysit the ONE rounded bottom pan); toilet paper (only 2 rolls were provided and it was very cheap, so we used it up quickly...really 2 cheap rolls for 8 people and 3 nights?!?!); paper towels (same, only provided 1 and it was very cheap and it didn't last long); laundry detergent (none provided); dishwasher soap - since the dishes/cups/utensils are very limited, you need to wash the dishes more often or bring your own paper plates/solo cups/plastic utensils which is what we ended up buying. Definitely bring your own pillows as the pillows provided were VERY flat and not comfortable AT all. When you spend $1700+ for 3 nights you would expect DECENT pans, dishes, pillows, etc....very disappointing that the owner was SO cheap! Also, the front yard fence was knocked down and it should be fixed.

The location was great and the property was clean. The check-in process was smooth as well. For the price, I wish they had more glasses and other supplies. We were a family of four and there were barely enough glasses. There also weren’t basic cooking supplies like salt. We couldn’t find any laundry detergent. It seemed like the house was equipped with the bare minimum. My guess is the owners use it exclusively as a rental and never visit themselves. The heater is also set up on Nest and I think it is programmed to turnoff at night (while people are sleeping), as we couldn’t figure out how to get the temp above 60 degrees. It worked in the afternoon/early evening after skiing though. The yard is fully fenced which is nice for dogs. The property is also flat (no hills on the driveway, etc), which is key during the winter months to avoid slipping on ice.

Cabin needs Serious attention!

The cabin was not entirely clean. There were old coffee grinds in the coffee maker and on the counter all around the coffee maker. I am so glad that we brought Lysol, and Clorox wipes as well as clean rags and more paper towels. I cleaned the kitchen as best as I could. The kitchen could use some more cooking utensils, like a spatula for sure. It was hard cooking our meals without one. Inside the master bedroom's closet were someone's clothing and the extra blankets for the entire cabin were on the closet floor. Although it wasn't a bad odor, The bed linens smelled like someone had been sleeping on the sheets. Just not fresh. Not cool at all. The vertical blinds in the living room were missing slats. The slats were hidden behind the sofa. As a result of the missing blinds, there was no privacy as people passing by and the neighbors could see directly inside the cabin, specifically at night. The bed in the bedroom on the first floor was broken. The mattress would fall to the ground (on one side). We kept having to adjust the slats on the foundation. The listing stated it was 2.5 baths. It is not. It has 2 full size bathrooms. The bathrooms appeared to be clean and the hand/wash towels were clean. There was ONE light outside the entire cabin, which was facing the drive way. Other than that light, there was no lighting outside the cabin. None on the steps nor on the porch. It made it difficult to see where we were walking. We used our cellphone flashlights to walk outside while it was dark. Very unsafe. I'm glad no one fell. The heater took 2-3 hours to heat up the cabin. I get it, it is in the mountains. We used the gas fire place to help heat the cabin. I made a few phone calls as well as submitted a maintenance report. I did get a call back as well as a response to my emails. I appreciated that. I spoke to Julie who handled the communication piece of this ordeal. Initially I felt as though she was dismissive however, once she spoke to the "cleaning crew" she confirmed that there were no bath towels. At that point it appeared as though she was attentive in listening to my complaints. Julie did give us a credit voucher and a discount towards a future stay with them. Needless to say, I won't be using this cabin rental agency again. My advice; They should really pay more attention to their property and make the necessary adjustments.

Cozy and Clean

Stayed here with my husband, my brother and his wife, and another friend couple. The place was perfect for the six of us. We loved the hot tub and the location. The only thing I wished for was some deck chairs on the top balcony. Highly recommend!

Change of scenery

The unit is in need of some updating. They need to put screens on the windows and sliding doors. The location was great and did just fine for our families needs. The jacuzzi was a nice way to end the day after a long day of hiking.

Great mountain retreat!

My family stayed at this gorgeous, cozy mountain cabin and we're thrilled with everything. The cabin was well appointed and situated close to downtown, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. Just a short drive to the downtown area and ski slopes made it perfect. Streets were quiet and neighbors were great!
