"We thought the decor was pretty cool"

"We were a party of three adults staying two nights so that we had an easy journey over the weekend to get to the Steam Rally at nearby Woodchurch. Excellent base as views from the room were great, the balcony just right to sit and watch the sunset, and the beds were comfortable. The only negative comment being the restaurant tables, which had a very sticky feel to them. The waitresses wiped them down thoroughly but it seems this affected the surface of the tables! However the food was excellent...

"Both the bedroom and ensuite were very clean. People were helpful and friendly. Within walking distance of shops, supermarket and several restaurants. The place was built several hundred years ago so has plenty of beautiful features in the pub."

"Lovely setting for an overnight stay after a 5 hr drive. Great food and lovely staff. Didn’t like the flimsy plastic party glasses in the room. Glass or solid plastic one are more in keeping and more useable. "
