Well-equipped house with character and garden near the city center

Comfortable and spacious 5-room house and fitted kitchen with garden, quiet location near the center of a city of art and culture. In addition to the charm of Pézenas, you will appreciate all the beauty of the hinterland. It is an old family house completely renovated while having kept its original character. It is located 200 meters from the city's central course. It has an independent entrance on a very calm garden although close to the agricultural high school. The layout of the rooms is that of traditional bourgeois houses: on the ground floor, a fitted kitchen and a basement with shower and sink and an air-conditioned lounge. On the first floor, a spacious bedroom, a room converted into a game or meeting room, a bathroom and a WC. On the second floor there are two large bedrooms: one with two twin beds and the other with a double bed.
All three bedrooms are air-conditioned.
A piano is available for musicians and music lovers around them.
A barbecue/plancha grill is available so you can enjoy a delicious meal together in the garden.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
Travelers have a separate entrance. They have unrestricted rights to the whole house.

A French experience

The property is perfectly placed on the edge of the historic town. It has a traditional French appeal along with its artwork, books, objects of interest as well as a piano. The kitchen wants for nothing, with every implement at hand. A wonderful private garden with lily pond. Owners Éric and Paula are very friendly and helpful if needed. We stayed for eight nights, but may stay a further few weeks next time. There is so much to see and do in the town and surrounding region. Well worth a visit

Il y avait tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Maison typiquement française confortable et nous et nos chiens nous sommes sentis les bienvenus. idéalement situé à proximité du centre et pour des déplacements aux alentours. Een net huis met geweldige eigenaren

Vanaf het uitladen tot het vertrek hebben we ons prima vermaakt. (2 zussen, 2 echtgenoten en 2 pubers). Geen moment het gevoel gehad dat we bij elkaar op de lip zaten door de verschillende ruimtes. De 3 grote slaapkamers, de keuken, de badkamer, 2 toiletten en een doucheruimte waren goed voorzien van alles watwe nodig hadden.

Zentrumsnah, schönes Haus, liebe Vermieter

Wir verbrachten als Familie drei erholsame Wochen im Haus von Eric Baudou. Wir belegten hier alle Zimmer, kochten, spielten und musizierten. Das sympathisch und komfortabel eingerichtet Haus haben wir alle als sehr gemütlich empfunden. Viele Bücher und DVDs stehen zu Verfügung, an den Wänden hängen schöne Fotos und Bilder. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet. Wir genossen unser Frühstück auf der Terrasse. Abends war es leider im Garten wegen vieler Mücken (vom Fischteich?) oft etwas ungemütlich. In wenigen Minuten konnten wir jedoch zu Fuß in Pézenas das alte Zentrum und viele Straßencafés (ohne Mücken) erreichen. Es handelt sich nicht um ein Haus mit Luxusbädern, dafür jedoch mit vielen Geschichten, alten Möbeln und mit Charakter. Unser Hund konnte sich frei auf dem Grundstück bewegen und sich mit dem Hund von Eric auf der anderen Seite des Zauns anfreunden. Während unserer Zeit in diesem Haus hatten wir mit Eric und seiner Frau Paule-Marie viele Begegnungen, die alle ausgesprochen angenehm waren. Wir erfuhren von kulturellen Veranstaltungen im Ort, von der Umgebung von Pézenas und lauschten den Erzählungen aus der Vergangenheit und der Gegenwart. Generell schätzten wir es sehr, in diesem schönen Haus zu wohnen, von den lieben Hausbesitzern und Nachbarn etwas über den Ort zu erfahren und morgens die Boulangerie und Samstags den Markt zu Fuß erreichen zu können. Wir würden sehr gerne wieder in dieses Haus kommen.

A lovely 2 week stay

Le Gîte Piscénois is a traditional, charming, and very comfortable French property in the heart of Pézenas. It is so well equipped with everything you could need - it lacks nothing and all is very thoughtfully provided. The property is only a minute's walk from the centre of Pézenas, a town full of history and wonderful places to eat. The road network also makes it an excellent base for exploring in all directions. Eric and Paule-Marie are perfect hosts providing very useful local information but without imposing in any way at all. Le Gîte Piscénois is highly recommended. Thank you for our wonderful stay!

Un Bel endroit de retrouvailles

Cette maison a une âme et il y fait bon séjourner. Dans le cas précis de notre occupation, nous avons fait de la cuisine et de sa table, un endroit de convivialité. La maison était occupé par 4 personnes qui pendant 15 jours quittait le lieu au petit matin pour aller sur le tournage. Pendant ce temps, Odile venait occupait la cuisine, très bien équipée, pour préparer à manger midi et soir pour une dizaine de personne. Toute l'équipe était ravi de se retrouver à cette table pour les déjeuners et les diners, dedans ou en terrasse selon ce qu'on proposait la Météo. Le jardin est magnifique et le gîte est à 2 pas du centre. Nos hôtes ont été charmants et très accueillants. C'était un plaisir de résider au gîte piscénois.

Très agréable séjour

Nous avons passé un séjour très très agréable dans ce gîte. Pezenas est une ville charmante et animée et la mer n'est qu'à quelques kilomètres. Le gîte est très bien situé, proche du centre historique et du cours principal. Il est aussi très bien équipé et très agréable au quotidien. Les hôtes particulièrement charmants! Nous espérons pouvoir y revenir.

Our stay in a Gite

Well kept, older, three floor house, in a quiet neighborhood, just one block from central Pezenas. We loved the large windows with traditional wooden shutters to keep out the heat. Eric and PaulaMarie are lovely people who made us feel welcome without pretensions but with real warmth. Any minor issues were attended to immediately upon request. We loved walking less than five minutes for coffee, a croissant, or a number of nice restaurants and cafes. The only minor drawback was that when we booked we thought that there were more than two toilets in the house. All in all a very good value for a taste of living in a well kept but older French home. Pezenas is far from bursting with tourists, but has a charm of its own, is surrounded by beautiful vineyards and is very close to the sea and the mountains. The food and wines were excellent and not expensive. The large and bustling Saturday market was a treat. Great experience!

Great location in a green garden

Eric's home is a traditional 100 year old house with very high ceilings. The kitchen and bedroom were very large. The kitchen is VERY well equipped with everything you would need for preparing meals. There's a large garden - unfortunately it was cold or rainy during our stay.. The best part is that it's only a short walk the center of town. We had some problems with being cold and losing internet, but Erick always responded immediately..

Vackert franskt hus med inhägnad trädgård nära Gamla stan i Pezenas

Mycket bra boende i vackert hus i tre våningar! Bra sovrum o badrum samt mycket välutrustat kök. Omtänksamt värdpar som informerade om allt vad staden Pezenas med omgivningar hade att erbjuda, och det är mycket! För oss som reste med hund så var den inhägnade trädgården viktig och värdefull! Huset ligger med endast några minuters gångavstånd till Gamla stan med caféer, bagerier och mängder av små butiker!

Jolie maison au coeur de Pézenas aux hôtes chalheureux

Nous avons passés quelques jours magnifiques dans cette jolie maison traditionelle au coeurs de Pézenas. On a trouvé tout dont on a avait besoin pour un séjour agréable et c'est surtout grâce aux admirables hôtes Paule-Marie et Eric qu'on a découvert la scène culturelle de cette ville palpitante et vivante en Languedoc! Even more than we had expected!

We spent our holiday in the house of Eric and his lovely wife for one week, starting from the 3rd of july 2021. What a wonderful time we had in Pezenas. Thanks to the house, the owners who are wonderful people, Pezenas which is beautiful (and its center is just around the corner). Within less than one our there is the mediterranean. Don 't forget to visit Beziers! We really recommend this house for a wonderful holiday in La Douce France.

La campagne en ville

Dans cette maison tout proche du centre ville, la campagne est encore là : oiseaux, nature, arbres... le charme du lieu tient au fait que la maison ancienne soit restée sans être défigurée, même si les équipements de vie moderne y sont tous. Et l’accueil des propriétaires ajoute encore au charme d’un séjour dans ce lieu très reposant : leur courtoisie et leur culture sont un régal !

An exceptional stay under exceptional circumstances

"Character house *** with well-equipped garden, quiet location near city center" is an accurate host's introduction to this Pezenas, France gite. It's also quite modest. From the attractive private outdoor space to an extremely well-equipped kitchen and spacious comfortable bedrooms, the physical environment is excellent. What sets this property apart from all others we have experienced is the hosts. They are a traveler's dream couple.

Great property in fabulous location!

We had a wonderful stay in this historic family home within an easy walk of everything Pezenas has to offer. Our hosts live in the adjoining home (it belonged to the owner's grandfather), so they were available to answer questions and help when we needed it. The house is very well-equipped, with comfortable beds and good linens. Bedrooms and kitchen/dining room are large and comfortable. Stairs are solid and even, so most everyone can navigate them without a problem . Two of the bedrooms are on the 3rd floor (which is 2nd floor in European calculation), so keep that in mind if anyone is mobility-challenged. We loved sitting out in the beautiful garden for meals and wine, and our dog was especially happy to have his own fenced area in which to relax. The only drawback is the absence of a proper living room/lounge. There is a small space on the second floor outside the bathroom/WC, but it isn't conducive to hanging out and relaxing. The kitchen table is big and we mostly sat there or in the beautiful garden. I highly recommend this home for visits to Pezenas, a most wonderful little town!

Eric and Paule Marie are terrific hosts, and added greatly to our enjoyment of Pezenas. The house was comfortable, everything was as advertised, and there were historical details that made it that much more interesting. Une situation exceptionnelle

Très beau gite, ou les propriétaires sont aux petits soins pour que le séjour soit des plus agréable. Très bien situé, on peut découvrir la ville à pied, et des environs qui nous laissent le choix entre la Terre et la Mer. L'environnement est tellement riche, que nous n'en avons pas fait le tour en 15 jours, et les propriétaires ont de précieux conseils pour vous guider. Et bien sûr, le gîte est parfait pour accueillir les animaux (chat et chien!). Une adresse que l'on ne peut que référencer en y allant les yeux fermés.
