Restored farm building nestled close to the ancient village of Bewick with lovely views over countryside. Riding can be provided 550 yards away.. Ground Floor:

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for stove included, remainder available locally. Travel cot and highchair available. Small enclosed garden with garden furniture. Residents’ car park (not allocated). No smoking.. Just 2 miles south of the ancient town of Berwick-upon-Tweed and 10 miles from Holy Island, this restored holiday cottage forms part of a sympathetic conversion of traditional farm buildings. Spacious and thoughtfully furnished with views over rolling countryside. Enjoy hill walking in the Cheviots, riding 550 yards, sea fishing from Eyemouth, diving in Coldingham, boat trips to the Farne Islands from Seahouses, golf at Goswick (8 miles), historic houses and gardens at Alnwick, Bamburgh and Paxton, or the sandy beach at Scremerston,
3 miles. There is plenty to do in Berwick with walks around the old town walls and a varied choice of eating places, shops and entertainment. Shops and restaurants 2 miles, pub 4 miles.

Great cottage, great location, couple of maintenance issues

Firstly the cottage was great for the price.Spacious bedrooms lounge and kitchen.Good location just off the A1, fantastically quiet but within minutes of Berwick.The house didn't feel too warm the first night but not sure if that's as it has been empty all week and storage heaters had been turned down, by the second night we were toasty warm pretty much throughout although the kitchen diner is a little chilly. All visible areas, crockery, cutlery and ovens were lovely and clean and the provision of dishwasher tablets is great only grow here is under beds and sofas could do with a dust. Couple of maintenance issueswere the only real detractors, a broken front gate, underfloor heating in the downstairs bathroom didn't work and no other source of heating in there and a few more minor bits. Overall though great cottage in a great location, sorry the maintenance and it's easy 5*.

Fantastic location and facilities

Arrived at property, east to find and 2 minutes of the A1 so great location. Check in and access easy. Fac I'll lities and standards in the property were great. Living room is upstairs and we never used as the kitchen dining area was brilliant for cooking eating in and nipping out to garden to catch some sun. Would recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

Good for a short break

A lovely location and a roomy property. It would have improved if the garden grass had been cut, the freezer defrosted and the quality of the mugs upgraded. We also missed a shower in the upstairs bathroom. The bath took forever to fill.
