My room was not made up when I checked in. With no front desk immediately available, it took me a while to reach someone via the app, and was also put on hold in the process. Not really what you want when you check into a hotel.
Once I finally got hold of a staff member in the property, they were actually very accommodating and gave me an upgrade.
All in all, not bad, but I wouldn't stay again given the relative high price and the possibility of having another 'online' disappointment. The public area was beautiful and well-appointed, but I could not help but get the feeling that the owners invested in that instead of their staff. This business model puts all of the onus to solve problems on the guest - not what I want to pay for.
