High-End Contemporary Custom Home on 244 Acre Park

This brand new contemporary Craftsman home on the Park is owner-built with exceptional attention to detail. Majestic Whatcom Falls Park borders the property, with its pristine 244 acres of trails, waterfalls, swimming holes, and wildlife literally right out the back door. This home was built to be enjoyed with comfortable contemporary furnishings, tasteful art, warm fireplaces, and cozy gathering places. In all seasons you'll be treated to an abundance of light from numerous skylights, large windows, French doors, and a beautiful sunroom.

The open floor plan on the main floor is great for family and corporate gatherings. The master suite with it's gas fireplace, private deck over looking the park, vaulted ceilings, Bose surround sound system, and jetted bath tub for two, is perfect for the romantic getaway. Completed in 2008, you'll find its details stylish and contemporary, as well as timeless in quality--solid granite counter tops, stainless appliances, cast iron claw foot bath tub, marble steam room, real flagstone and VG Fir fireplace. This house is beautiful enough to look like a work of art, yet comfortable enough to feel like a home.

This is a fully legal and permitted vacation rental: Short Term Rental Permit USE2022-0057.

Master 1: 1 king bed, private bath w/jetted tub and walk-in shower, huge walk-in closet.
Master 2: 1 king bed AND 1 futon , attached bath with huge marble steam room & body sprays (six shower heads!), walk-in closet.
Bedroom 3: 1 King bed, shared bathroom with bedroom # 4, claw-foot tub, separate walk-in shower, walk-in closet.
Bedroom 4: 1 queen bed, closet, shared bathroom with bedroom # 3.

Additional sleeping areas:

Sunroom: 1 fold-out sofa bed.
Air mattresses: We offer two queen size quality air mattresses that can fit in the living room or bedrooms.

Streaming options and cable on the two 4k tvs.

Social gatherings with friends and loved ones are very welcomed here, just not out of control loud drunken parties.

House is in a great area and the nearby parks are simply amazing. Owner is very responsive to messages and was accommodating of an early check in request. Only downsides are that ther eis an attached ADU that wasn't mentioned in the listing (not really a big deal) and several fixtures need repair and show their age a bit. Would also have loved to have had garage access (though I knew there was no garage from the listing). Overall I think this is a great place and I'd stay again.

A truly amazing rental that felt like home to our family who were in town for a family wedding. Everything was perfect, and the location could not have been better for the wedding event venues. We hiked Whatcom Falls Park every morning which was delightful.

My family has been renting houses for family vacations for 23 years. This house was the best ever as far as providing everything one could need for a month’s stay (toiletries, paper products, laundry soap etc). Very generous. And the kitchen utensils were among the best as well. Since we cook all of our meals, that was most appreciated. Erik even brought over his personal stand mixer for our use. The back deck, hot tub, yard and access to the 240 acre park right behind the house were all great and a private space surrounded by vegetation. We enjoyed almost every meal outside in Bellingham’s perfect summer weather.

We had the most amazing week here!

One of the best places we have ever stayed, and it was so perfect for our family reunion. Lots of space, great backyard, super easy access to lake and trails. We absolutely loved it! Highly recommend.

This rental was perfectly located for exploring Bellingham—close to downtown, parks, Galbraith, and the waterfront. We loved being just minutes from coffee shops, restaurants, and scenic trails. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe, yet everything we needed was easily accessible. The home itself was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with thoughtful touches. We’d definitely stay here again for a convenient and comfortable Bellingham visit!

Wonderful house with beautiful park access

We stayed for a girls weekend and had a great time. The house backs up to the Whatcom Falls park and there is access via the backyard. The kitchen is nicely stocked with all the utensils you need. There is a regular drip coffee pot and a French Press, which was nice for those who drink decaf.

Family Staycation

My adult kids live in Bellingham & it is easier to come to them & enjoy the beauty of the area. This house had plenty of sleeping room & hanging out rooms, a beautiful view & "glass" room to enjoy.

Great Place for Family!

It is a lovely home in a lovely and convenient neighborhood. It is surrounded by beautiful trees, and the all season room makes the inside feel part of the outdoors. My granddaughter loved seeing the deer cut through the yard to the trail in the back. The home is very well equipped. It was very nice to have everyone able to eat together at the larger table with kitchen bar. The house has some “issues” but it’s not my house to make “perfect.” Watch for broken tiles, broken cabinet doors, and yucky grout; the stained carpet is NOT a leaking roof (frightened us when walked in). The only “real” criticism—it’s cold in Bellingham winter. Arriving in the dark (4:30 pm) to a house that is 58 degrees makes the first couple of hours almost intolerable. I understand that heating is expensive but there’s got to be a way to automate! But we had a great trip and loved the house. Clean and comfy bedding, lots of towels and blankets, and space to spread out. We would definitely rent again and would love to be there in summer.

Low key birthday getaway

The only reason for a 4 out of 5 in cleanliness were some ants. The host was glad I brought it to his attention so that he can take care of it. I am quite positive that the next time we stay there we won’t see any. The property and house was gorgeous and just what we expected from the photos. The host was easily accessible when needed. It was the perfect spot to go downtown, yet come back to quiet, serene neighborhood. Close to parks, nature, waterfall, and the river. We will be back.

Great place for our family

We needed a place with 4 bedrooms for multiple couples ranging in age from 20’s to 70’s. We loved that each bedroom had a king size comfortable bed with plenty of pillows and blankets. The bathrooms are spacious and nice. The kitchen had everything we needed. And the family enjoyed having walking trails so easy to access. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it. It was a nice neighborhood and close enough to anything we needed.

Beautiful Home / Great Location

My family LOVED our time in this beautiful home in Bellingham. We were visiting Bellingham to attend our son's wedding. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, just a few minutes drive from a charming downtown (filled with great coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping opportunities). The house backs up to Whatcom Falls Park, with nice trails and a beautiful waterfall. We were able to walk through the woods to a park that had a children's playground, covered pavilions, and tennis courts. The house is very comfortable. The layout was perfect for several families (or couples) with the bedroom layed out to provide plenty of privacy. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the plates, cups, bowls, silverware, pots and pans to enable home-cooked meals. The living room is very large and was a great place to sit and chat. My daughter and her husband loved to sit in the window seats and chat each morning. The piano was a nice addition, as my son plays piano and he was able to play a few tunes on evening, The beds are very comfortable. The owner provides fans for each bedroom for the warmer summer nights. The bathrooms were nice, with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The sunroom was very comfortable and a great place to sit and read a book. We enjoyed time on the backdeck and the private backyard. There is also a hot tub on the deck. My family enjoyed staying at his house. It was very comfortable. We found Erik to be very helpful and he responded quickly.

Prime location with loads of space

Location, backyard, space for family to spread out are the key benefits for this property. Definitely walk to the falls if you stay here! Lovely walk right on the park. We were all family in town for a wedding and stayed here. It was perfect location with loads of hang out space so we didnt feel on top of eachother and rooms for everyone. All in all it was perfect for our stay Only minor call out is that alot of the outside furniture was too dirty to sit on and we wiped a bunch of the chairs down in order to enjoy dinner at the outside table. The upstairs deck and chairs could do with a clean too.

Lovely house, perfect for a large group

This house was perfect for our group consisting of 7 female family members (aunts/cousins/wives of cousins). Lots of room to spread out in the kitchen for card games, plenty of room in the living room to enjoy a movie on a rainy evening. The kitchen had lots of quality dishware, cutlery and glasses. The bedrooms and bathrooms were stocked with high quality linens, in generous supply. The mattresses were also very deluxe, causing a few of us to consider an upgrade on our return home. The backyard is lovely, with beautiful plantings and a nice deck to enjoy the sun and surroundings. Communication with the host was excellent. The location next to Whatcom Park was extremely enjoyable. What a treat to have such a beautiful park available out the back fence! We used it at least once each day. The house is located in a very nice neighborhood that was fun to walk. It is very close to a movie theatre, grocery stores, Costco, restaurants. I would highly recommend this property.
