We provide the essentials for your entire stay - paper towels, laundry supplies, dish soap, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, garbage bags, etc. You should not have to go to a store for those types of items.
Located for easy access: Silver Reef Casino for entertainment, getting pampered at the spa, and dining at their many restaurants, including their award winning restaurant The Steakhouse (2 miles); Bellingham Airport (11 miles); Western Washington University (20 mins.); Mt. Baker for world class skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and more (1.25 hours); San Juan Islands for fishing, crabbing, and exploring (20 min. trip from Sandy Point Marina where you can launch your boat); and Canada (25 mins. north on I-5 corridor to the border). The golf course is a 9 hole course open to the public with a $10 fee and access is steps away from the house. Small playground near the clubhouse. Ideal place for out-of-town guests if you do not have room for them. Save money over a hotel as you can do your own cooking.
Bring your boat and launch at the Marina minutes away and come home to relax in the evenings instead of trying to find dock space or a buoy in the busy summer months. Many good walking beaches nearby.
Eagle watching: the road from the house to the casino follows the Red River, you can often spot bald eagles in the trees next to the road. Sometimes the eagles harass the ducks that are on the golf course in front of the house. Makes for a front row seat to see bald eagles in their natural habitat.
If the timing is right, and we are not working or out of town, we would be happy to stock the house before your arrival, if you provide a grocery, beer, wine or alcohol list.
