The hotel itself was beautiful, and our room was spacious and very comfortable. However, we did encounter a slight issue at the Garden Lei restaurant. They did not allow us to charge the meal back to our room, which was a bit inconvenient.
When we tried to pay, the EFTPOS machine requested a six-digit PIN, but our card only has a four-digit one. This led to an awkward situation with three staff members gathered at our table using Google Translate to explain the issue. I kept asking if they could insert the card instead of tapping it, but this was initially not understood.
Eventually, I took the machine, inserted the card myself, entered the four-digit PIN, and the payment went through without any problem. It was a bit embarrassing, but I think the issue could be resolved more easily in the future with clearer communication or a quick manual insertion of the card.
