Beautiful Cabin on private lake close to all the attractions in the Eastern UP!

Come for a get away at Papa’s Place!!! This newly remodeled cabin sits on a quiet, private lake, with a large main floor, master bedroom, and a loft with a pair of twin beds. You will find a fully furnished kitchen, brand new appliances, and spacious dining area. A great place for relaxing, you can take a ride around the lake in a paddle boat, fish off of the dock, or have some S’mores around the campfire. Enjoy the sunrise over the lake while sitting next to a cozy fireplace in the cold months, or from the deck in the warm months. Crank up the AC if you need to cool off! Located just off of I-75, and situated between Sault Ste. Marie and St. Ignace, it is the perfect gathering spot to enjoy all that the Upper Peninsula has to offer. Just over 1 mile from the Chippewa County Airport, and only a 15 mile drive from the Soo Locks. For the winter months, it is conveniently located within a hundred yards of some of the best snowmobiling trails in the Eastern Upper Peninsula!

We loved our stay at this cabin! We travel frequently and this was one of our best rentals. The cabin is spotless and stocked with everything you need. Cozy & peaceful! Well thought out details that make for a wonderful stay. Communication was excellent. I hope we can stay again!

It was the perfect location. We had a fun day trip to Taquamenon Falls and Whitefish Point. We also enjoyed the casino in Sault Ste Marie and even ventured over the river to Hiawatha Highlands for snowshoeing. Loved the warm fireplace and view! The bed was comfy and cozy too.

It was the perfect place for our honeymoon. The cabin was clean and gorgeous. It was nestled off a wooded street with a breathtaking lake right outside of the yard. Vanessa was a wonderful host who was always very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure that we had the best time. My wife and I cannot wait to come back!

We enjoyed our week stay a couple years ago, so booked it again for a two week stay this year. Beautiful place to stay for a relaxing vacation and convenient place to go visit attractions in the eastern UP. Had air conditioning and heat and all amenities. Clean and comfortable!

Gorgeous lake view. Beautifully designed and maintained home. Conveniently located near I-75, halfway be St. Ignace and Sault St. Marie. We spent several hours on the deck, enjoying the warm sun, cool breezes, and relaxing scenery. — The master bed could have been more comfortable.

We were very happy with this place. It was nicely decorated, clean and laid out well for what we needed. We loved the live edge bar, fireplace and view of the lake. We also utilized the grill on the deck. There was plenty of parking as we had a truck with a boat trailer and a second truck. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

This is a beautiful place to stay. It's so calm and peaceful. It was the perfect size for my husband and I. We spent a lot of time on the porch looking over the lake. Cabin was clean and the kitchen was stocked nicely with cook gear and spices. Located close to grocery store, Dollar general and gas station. If you don't want to cook the pizza patch was really good too. Thank you for the stay.

Beautiful cabin on a private lake. Cabin was very clean, fully stocked, and very comfortable. The hostess responded to text quickly and was so helpful and gracious. Would definitely stay again! Will also recommend to others traveling up that away. The only comment i would have is, and this is not a negative comment, is there is no wifi or TV. Phone reception was very limited. There is so much to see and do in that area that you really don't miss it until you return in the evening. If you want to unplug, it's perfect!

Stayed with 3 of my siblings and it was wonderful! Kitchen was well equipped and we used the grill for dinner on the deck. Very peaceful! We actually met Vanessa and her daughters when we arrived. Very nice family! We will definitely book again!

Family get away

Your home was beautiful. Wish we had more time there. Thank you for opening it up to us. We got in late and ordered food from a nearby sub shop. The sandwiches were delicious and we sat outside on the back and ate those and overlooked the lake. By far the best place up in the that may have been to. Thank you again

The cabin was very cozy, clean, and updated with new appliances. The host was very responsive and accomodating. The reason I left a 4 star review was because my family and I were expecting to swim on the lake. That was the whole reason we booked the cabin. I did not read anywhere on the listing that the host recommended not to swim in the lake. I read that in the binder left on the table at the cabin, so that was really disappointing. And the mosquitoes were so extreme that bug spray didnt help much, so we weren't really able to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the view. Other than that, we had a good experience.
