  • Summary:

    Built in 1867, Tanner Building is the oldest building in downtown Bay City. The 12 ft ceilings and 8 foot tall windows allow for a light and airy feel. Located steps away from everything in downtown Bay City, you can simply park your car for the weekend and walk to everything. Enjoy lightning-fast wifi and everything you need to stay the night comfortably. We provide a 4-cup drip coffee maker and coffee pods, a selection of tea, and basic bathroom toiletries including shampoo, conditioner and soap.



    The Space:

    Enjoy a gorgeous 2-bedroom apartment overlooking Center Avenue in Historic Downtown Bay City! Apartment 2 is located on the 2nd floor of Tanner Building. There is no elevator access.



    Guest Access:

    Unique key codes are generated per reservation. Self-check-in.



    The Neighborhood:

    Located in the heart of downtown, you are steps away from shops, eateries, and a conference center. The area is known for being safe and easily walkable. Wenonah Park and Bay City's river walk is less than a block away where many Downtown events take place, including seasonal and major concerts, Riverside Art Festival, Bay City Fireworks Festival and so much more.



    Getting Around:

    Park your car and enjoy your river walk from Downtown to Uptown.



    Other Things to Note:

    We provide passes for on-street parking or in city lots nearby.



    No animals are permitted at any time.



    No smoking is permitted at any time. Michigan law prohibits the smoking of any substance (cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, and e-cigarettes/vaping) in short term rentals used by the public. A $200 additional cleaning fee will be added to your stay.



    There are security cameras located at the front door and in the hallway of the building.



    Interaction with Guests:

    Self check in allows for guests to check in any time after 4 PM. All communication is through the booking app or email.

Super cute apartment. Very clean, good communication, great experience. The only issue was the bar is directly under one of bedroom windows and was so loud! Overall, very pleased!

We loved the beautiful look of this condo. Everything was within walking distance of the condo. We were able to walk and enjoy the 4th of July festivities.

Perfect Stay

Great location for an overnight stay. Great communication and we loved the place. It was clean, well stocked with everything we needed. Highly recommended. Also, there are multiple units on VRBO in the building if you need more than one rental for other family members.

Just what we needed

Loved the location in downtown, near so many shops and places to eat. It was perfect location for our reason to be in Bay City over the weekend. The stairs are something you need to be ready for but certainly wasn’t a problem for us. The beds were comfortable and the things we needed were certainly close at hand. Overall we were completely satisfied with our stay!

My daughter and I came to town to visit my parents. This is the perfect place to stay! Very nice apartment, comfy beds, nice towels and linens! My daughter loved the soft sheets :) Beautiful historical building. Great communication from the owner. We will book again for future visits!

Perfect location!

This was the perfect location right in downtown & a block from the water. Nearby playground, walkable riverfront, restaurants, antiques, & entertainment. Cleaning crew could do a better job with fridge/freezer & floors. Would definitely stay again!

Mom/Daughter Getaway

The place was big, clean, and perfectly located! We felt very safe with all the locks and the environment. The floors are pretty creaky and the furnance rumbles quote a bit when it kicks on, so if you're a light sleeper, that mayb an issue. Otherwaie, a great value!

Everything about this whole experience was amazing. Communication with the host was excellent. The apartment is gorgeous. Host provided coffee, water and soft drinks. Perfect location. We are first time VRBO users and were nervous but Donald made sure all our questions were answered right away. Looking forward to our next stay.

Nice historic old building with pretty renovation, but....... absolutely no sound insulation and right above the rowdiest bar in town. How good is your vacation if you get no rest? The place was loud as hell.

Perfect surprise

Excepting the 22 stairs, the unit was almost perfect. We planned on cooking in though I don't know why with all the wonderful restaurants around! That can be costly since we were there for a week. A few more kitchen items would be called for. The unit itself was just awesome with comfy furniture and beds. We will be back!
