"I loved my solo stay here! I came into town one night for a concert and was very happy with the Hollander house. Kenneth was very communicative and attentive via email and easily reachable. I had no issues and everything was nice and clean and easy to find. I wasn’t able to stay for breakfast due to my schedule however, I’m sure it was delicious! Would certainly stay again"

"The hotel is unique and fun. I wish I could have gotten cold water to drink at the coffee/tea setup. Staff were fine; we didn’t have a lot of interaction. I think parking could be a little more well-defined. There’s a big lot but lots of signs about no parking; however, they didn’t apply on the weekend, we later were told. The room was clean and had what we needed for our 1 night stay."

"Rented this hotel for the last stay of our trip because it had a pool. We'll when we got there unfortunately someone got sick in the pool and the shut the pool down because it had to be cleaned and wait for the a sample to be taken. So I had to deal with a very unhappy fella after being outside all day in the heat watching the nascar race at Dover. I know has nothing to do with the staff but I feel I was defeated after a long day and wanted to cool off myself."

"Although the receptionist was very kind and did her best to reduce the unpleasant smell in the room, we had a terrible experience during our stay. Water from the shower was running all over the bathroom, to the point where it was soaking the carpet at the entrance to the room, causing a smell of dirty laundry and mould. We had to go out and buy an air freshener to mask the odour."

"It was ok - no microwave in the room which was surprising. I like the laminate flooring throughout - better than carpet in my opinion. Bathroom could use updating and fixing... toilet rocked on its base... and the sink counter was oddly low for a standard counter."

"The owners are very nice and try to please but has gone down a lot since I was there 3 years ago. Rooms have basically what you need and is centrally located but the wooden tables outside are splintered and not really where you’d want to sit. There is a small microwave in the room and a refrigerator which comes in handy. A small round table and 2 chairs. A desk chair that was shedding its vinyl. Rooms are clean but could use a painting. "This hotel is in need of a lot for the price we paid on Expedia. We have now learned Expedia charges a higher price for a room than if you had walked in the front door and reserved it. We had a “kitchenette”, which included a refrigerator, microwave, small cooktop. No coffee pot, no coffee cups, no cups, no plates, no utensils, no cooking utensils.
