"Fantastic stay! Squeaky clean rooms, quiet, close to shopping. Big shout out to the fantastic woman working the bar on the afternoon of June 30th. Our family - about 20 of us - landed there for post wedding/pre reception drinks. She was efficient, friendly and her cocktails were delish! Will def stay here again!"

"Wistful location and a beautiful room. Very large with a nice sitting area, decorated with a spa like touch. Very comfy bed, waffle towels and bathrobe. Local toiletries to make you feel connected to the area. Conveniently located across the street from one of the best restaurants in St John’s the Mallard Cottage. An authentic experience all around with a luxury touch!"

"Very accommodating staff, we asked for a late check out because our flight was delayed and they were fine with that and no extra charge. Good coffee but I wish we had known that the continental breakfast time is different on weekdays then weekends."

"The staff and room we had were lovely, however soundproofing between the rooms could be significantly better… I was awoken in the middle of night to a woman screaming at the top of her lungs for what felt like forever…. I did call the front desk and they seemed to take care of what I later found out was a domestic dispute… but unfortunately that completely ruined my one “peaceful” night away from my kids, and we were not offered any discount or anything other than a “sorry about that”"

"What I most like about my stay is the really nice, old-time kind of feeling to the place. It really felt nice with all these chintzy hotels around us. To have a nice, old-fashioned hotel is great. The restaurant was right there, and their food is quite good. The negative comments I made are things like the housework wasn't done as often as I'd like. I did feel the plumbing needed a little bit of attention. But other than that, I really like the room. I like the space and the feel of it."
