"This is a cute and charming place if you like that old fashioned vibe. It had too many decorations for my taste though. The kitchen is very dated and the breakfast was self serve and very basic. Our room was very dusty, but it must be difficult to dust around the many items on display. There are a lot of labels and signs for the rules and regulations which took away from some of the charm."

"Run away..filthy room. And some questionable business practices. Forgot to refund my 250 security charge until I contacted them and today have just run my credit card for another stay that was canceled and confirmed canceled by email. Im getting the runaround getting that charge reversed and will have to go through my bank. I can say the reception desk was great but nothing else positive about this place. I repeat...run don't walk away."

"As close to right downtown as can be at this price point. Understood what I was getting into with shared bathrooms, hearing other guests absolutely destroying the toilet while I'm taking a shower, not surprised the laundry card machine and multiple vending machines ate my change; it's whatever, I've stayed in student housing before and have had a great time. "We had booked here 2 night arriving in NL and 2 nights leaving after 2 weeks touring . You are downtown and close to everything. $35 flat rate taxi fee from airport. Felt safe. Downtown Streets could use alittle TLC. Next to Duckworth pub which is famous for its fish and chips. Couldn’t tell you as it can be very busy. We even hiked to Quidi Viti via signal hill. But taxi home. The building is historic but quaint. Of course no elevator therefore stairs to rooms. Rooms were nice. Pay alittle...

"Washroom had dirt in corners, black mold in one spot around the tub simple bleach treatment would eliminate it. Trip was ruined by an issue with the pool. Booked with small children just for them to enjoy the pool and it was closed , if we nines this we would have chosen a different hotel. Something happened with the tv all channels were off the air , good thing it was a smart tv and we could watch something. Staff did address the issue and gave a 10 percent discount. I probably would try this...

"It was frustrating to go back to the front desk to get new keys as keys did not work. I need to go back to them 3 times during my 2 days stay. First of all, you must swipe the keys very slowly to open the door. We spent few minutes opening the door, finally other guest walking by told us the trick. Secondly, keys do not work all the time. Hotel Management - You must consider upgrading your locks to RFID as soon as you can."
