"Very convenient and spacious apartment - the only one on the 5th floor. Lovely to be able to sit on the balcony in the very hot weather, as the flat was quite hot. There is a fan but it wasn't particularly effective. Plenty of storage space, a huge TV and big living area. Comfortable bed. A few minor niggles - the flat feels a bit tired. "This is not a luxury house. Cheap second hand uncomfortable furniture, a smelly oven that may not have been cleaned for years (if ever???) and crockery that we needed to wash before we used it. We are not fussy people, but clean and comfortable should be a bare minimum.... Worst of all though was a chirping smoke alarm on the first floor landing, indicating a dead battery. On closer inspection, there wasn't even a battery fitted!! I offered to replace it if the owner couldn't arrange it for...

"The bungalow is up for sale and it felt like they weren't really bothered about maintenance. Garden covered in weeds, cooker and shower dirty. Had to get cups replaced as all cracked and stained, shower mat replaced as it was brown with dirt. 29degrees but could only open bathroom window and little lounge window. Whole place needs a deep clean and furniture updating"
