TURTLE BEACH COTTAGE
This spacious 2nd floor one bedroom apartment is right on Turtle Beach St. Kitts. This 2nd floor apartment is very private and peaceful directly on the beach. There is no better location on St Kitts for snorkeling the best accessible coral reef right on your door step. Excellent beach combing along the shore line and tidal pools. This apartment is fully self contained, comprising of a bedroom, kitchenette, two sitting rooms, with one sofa bed, one twin day bed, a balcony over the beach, wireless internet, and cable TV.
The bedroom is air-conditioned with ceiling fan, and fully screened for those who like to sleep with sounds of the sea and fresh tropical air. The bedroom has a four poster king size bed and large flat screened TV. A full bathroom with shower. A Kitchenette and large deck with gazebo and fantastic views of the beach, reefs, Booby Island and Nevis.
The beach cottage is accessed via a bridge over the natural mangrove trees. One bridge accesses the cottage over a pond from the almost one acre property. A 5 minute drive will take you to the Beach Front Pavilion and Spice Mill Restaurant for exquisite dinners. Salt Plage for the best sunset drink and tapas! Reservations required.
There are other restaurants and many more beaches, car ferry to Nevis, water sports, sailing, all within a 5 minute drive. A 15 minute drive will take you to many other restaurants, golf, casino and shopping.

Our main level Ocean Song Lounge is designed for entertaining with a full kitchen, commercial honor bar, large decks with two dining areas, guest bathroom, laundry, fresh water outdoor shower, shaded living room with sofa and chairs.

We know our guests of both the Turtle Beach Cottage and Ocean Song Villa will fully enjoy the exclusive use of the spacious beach front shared lounge with honor bar, beach chairs, outdoor shower, washroom and full kitchen facilities perfect for whipping up a meal beach side. The best accessible coral reef on island for snorkeling is on your door step. This is also one of the best bays on island for Kite Surfing.

Turtle Beach is a quiet natural beach. It is NOT a groomed beach and we do experience Sargasso Sea Weed from time to time. Cockelshel Beach is a ten minute walk away and there are many beautiful beaches near-by. If you love nature and peace and quiet, you'll love our cottage!

Everything about this property is incredible. Beautiful natural beaches, sparkling water, unreal views, full bar, and you hardly a soul. Franklyn was an amazing help, and we had chef Wayne come cook more food than we could eat. This is at the top of our list of places to come back to.

Mildly apprehensive to leave such a glowing review because I want to keep coming back to this place and know it will get booked up. But Penny and Richard, wow, just the best hosts and such a serene location with the best hangout zones, best beach, best part of the island. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Cannot wait to return - thank you also for being so kind about the craziness with the departing flights being canceled and offering assistance with accomodations. 11 out of 10.

Paradise realized

OMG where do I start. This is the most amazing, secluded property in paradise. My daughter treated me for my 60th birthday. Everything about this this stay was over the top. The property owner Richard stayed in contact up until arrival. The property manager Mr.Franklin was a godsend. He arranged a chef for my daughter and I and the food was outstanding. He arranged for our trip to Nevis and made sure we were looked after. We even got a tour of the marketplace. We felt like family. This place was outstanding and literally on the water. I would go back in a heartbeat. The villa was clean and spacious, and the bed was super comfy. I can't thank you all enough for an amazing stay. The decor was amazing and definitely had a women's touch to it. I also arranged for a local mobile massage therapist that gave me a heavenly massage on the balcony to sound of the crashing waves. I will be back. Thank you Thank you. Hugs and kisses all around. Do not hesitate to book this rare gem!! Respectfully, Andrea

Fantastic Location

This was our second stay at Turtle Beach. Previous stay was in the studio apartment by the same owner as this beachside property. The location is amazing--right on the beach but you need a car if you want to venture further than Cockleshell beach which is the next bay over and is in walking distance. The challenges for us were that by coming in September just about everything at Cockleshell Beach is closed so not a good month to come. Also, it's incredibly hot and the cottage only has air conditioning in the bedroom. The living areas have doors and windows that can be opened but it is still extremely warm and without screens on the doors quite a few mosquitos. If you are expecting the standard VRBO tidy generic environment with Wayfair furniture and decor, this is not the place for you. Cottage is very lived in. It's what you would expect if your friends offered you the use of their house while they were out of town--fridge with food in it, drawers with random items in them, etc. I would definitely recommend this location in other months but for sure not September.

Little Slice of Heaven!

This is an out-of-the-way, open-air, natural beauty, a private little estate, right on the water. A few of the things we loved about it were being on a secluded beach, the sound of the waves, the cool breezes that rolled through the open windows, watching the stars every night, the reef right in our back yard, the fish and monkeys, pelicans and sandpipers. It seemed like a time warp where the whole world just slowed down. We were there during the off season (October) which we think is the way to go. It's fifteen minutes drive to great restaurants (also on the water - there's a theme developing here...We are already thinking ahead to our next visit to this beautiful gem of a place on the planet.

Beyond disappointed…that I can’t leave 1M stars rating!! PICTURE PERFECT PARADISE!!!

This place is beyond what my limited vocabulary can describe!! The breathtaking views and unparalleled beauty of what we found at Turtle Beach is beyond description. We just returned from 10 days of trying to wrap our heads around our blessing that we found this hidden gem. Of course we took advantage of the Caribbean reefs and wrecks for scuba diving as well as we ventured out on our own to climb up Mount Liamugia in our rented jeep (Bullseye rental deserves, 1 million stars as well for their service and response.) but the most enjoyable part of our trip was being at the cottage…from sitting on one of the many beautiful seating areas around the cottage and gazing upon Nevis to exploring the private expanse of the natural beach to snorkeling on the shallow reefs in Mosquito Bay. Yes, it was Africa hot, but I chose to go in August for my birthday adventure. The Winward tradewinds were glorious and cooled us but when we needed more, the master bedroom was another beautiful place to rest and chill with its charming decor and AC!! Turtle Beach in its natural state was beautiful! Every day was a new canvas for God to display His beautiful work. The seaweed would come and go as as the tides and trade winds changed direction. We were fortunate to have Gert go north but we were prepared to extend our stay to take in more!! We can’t thank our hosts enough for sharing their home with us. We do not need to look any further as we have now found our forever vacation spot.

Best Stay Ever

The online descriptions and information about Turtle Cottage only told a small part of the story. The cottage is so much more magnificent in person. The location was truly paradise. The owners have created a one-of-a-kind home away from home. The is living space is spacious and beautifully decorated with a Caribbean vibe. The bedroom was especially beautiful. We didn't know what to expect with the communal areas that are shared with the Ocean Song and other cottage located just up the hill. It turned out to be a great time to share the beach and bar with like minded traveler. The property manger was extremely helpful and had lots of suggestions on what to do and where to go. When we left St Kitts he took us to the ferry and organized a taxi to take us to the airport in Revis. The owners gave us lots of information before we arrived and were very helpful after we arrive.

Beautiful view

Turtle Beach is about 30 minutes from the airport in St Kitts, but you will need to rent a Jeep, which we did thru Bullseye rental. The road is pretty rough. Other than the bedroom, the cottage is NOT air conditioned, and it gets extremely hot. The water is gorgeous, but the seaweed was pretty awful this week. Also, no dishwasher. The view is incredible, maybe the best on the island. We drove the entire island twice, and we were always excited to get back to our little cottage. Overall, I would recommend this rental as long as you understand that this is an upstairs cottage with a small kitchen area, bathroom and two living areas with no air conditioning (other than the bedroom) and it is HOT. It was fine for us because we stayed outside most of the time. Owners were fantastic.

Incredible view and property!

Perfect for those wanting direct connection to the ocean - the sound of the waves, delightful breezes, warm water swimming and outdoor shaded and sunny spots can’t be beat. Having property to yourself in the morning and after 5 makes it extra nice. The seaweed was about a 3-4 foot strip with lots of sand still available for chairs - no smell and no big deal to me to rake a path thru to the ocean. Stay was heavenly.

The PERFECT Getaway

We found Turtle Beach Cottage through a random advertisement in a local email, and I am SO thankful that we did! It was the absolute perfect getaway. Ricky and Penny provide so much information before even stepping foot on the island, such as restaurants to try, hikes to take, and so much more! The island is BEAUTIFUL, and we may be biased, but we think Turtle Beach is the most beautiful part. The cottage is stunning with breathtaking views and the Property Manager, Yellow, was a pleasure to work with - even teaching my husband how to open a coconut he had found on the beach! The Beach Lounge is the perfect place to spend the day, and the walk to Cockleshell Beach is so easy, and filled with local monkeys! We took Ricky & Penny’s recommendation and visited LobsterFest at Reggae Beach Bar. Definitely a can’t miss! We also loved spending the day sipping drinks at Shipwreck! The only thing I’d change about our trip is to stay longer - 3 nights was not enough! Do yourself a favor and come experience this beautiful island and cottage for yourself!

Jus what we needed

A quiet little haven to ourselves, the beach was only occupied by two other people who were staying in the sister property that is located a little further up, but before 10am andafter5pm the beach was ours. We felt completely at ease to carry out our work from the lookout o paradise, we saw some reviews complain about seaweed, but honestly it did not bother us in the slightest as we came to take in the view from our accommodation and swim in the beautiful sea, we feel this place is perfect for a couple who seek serenity in seclusion and enjoy a bit of a relaxed adventure. Read the helpful handbook Ricky put together as it has great tips.

The Perfect Vacation Getaway!

We absolutely loved this house! The home was comfortable and the view was unbeatable. It really is right on the ocean! There were plenty of water toys, towels and all the things you could want at a beach house. The honor bar was a really nice addition, too, although we didn't take advantage of it while we were there. The owners and property manager were responsive and easy to work with. Even working with us when our flight home was cancelled due to Hurricane Ian. A great home and a great vacation!

Beautiful piece of paradise!

Wow this property has the most stunning photogenic views! We had an amazing week here, our boys loved snorkelling & swimming, the wildlife provides a lot of entertainment, from turtles to crabs to monkeys we loved watching them all. The property is well managed, the one problem we had (caused by a turtle on the beach!) was fixed with super speed! Good basics in the kitchen which people had left, oil, sauces as well as eggs, bread & water provided initially at the start of our stay. You will need to stock up on the first day or have a car to get to the supermarket in Basseterre regularly as there are no shops nearby. Overall just amazing location, wildlife & beautiful views are well worth the visit!

Quite and relaxing

Our stay at Turtle Beach Cottage was wonderful. It is on the South Peninsula away from all the resorts and crowds. The property was well maintained and even though others have use of the downstairs from 10-5, we never saw a soul. Our only complaints are really something the owner has no control over (1) the road to the house is brutal even in a Jeep and (2) the seaweed has completely covered the beach. It would be impossible to keep it raked. We were told this is true of the whole island and will hopefully subside with changing ocean conditions. Our only recommendation to the owner is to purchase another air conditioner for the living/kitchen area. It is impossible to stay upstairs during the summer days. We were relegated to the bedroom to get relief from the heat. Downstairs is nice because of the breeze but at dusk the bugs were terrible so we found ourselves between a rock and a hard place. If the upstairs living was air conditioned you could still enjoy the view without the bugs. Even so, we throughly enjoyed the quite and peace that this cottage offers.

Relaxing!

Great cottage! Details in every aspect top notch! Many little "sitting places" perfect for reading or watching the birds and surf. I finished 3 books! Short beach walk to the cove where there are a few beach bars and food. Penny always responded quickly and happily on any questions we had setting up our stay. Richard and Penny supply a very informative paper covering almost everything imaginable to prepare and engage while there! Franklyn (on site) was absolutely superb in being available, recommending, setting up, and assisting in anything we needed. We loved the place, its people, and the stay!
