"A great hotel in the perfect location (next to the Castle), close enough to the city centre offering but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Food was good in the restaurant and the staff were excellent - friendly and helpful."

"One night stay in Nottingham for a football game. Hotel was ideally placed for walking from/to the station and to the football ground. Staff were very friendly on check in and breakfast the next morning. Room was nice enough 9th floor with great views. Bathroom was a little small with over the bath shower and small sink. But no compliants for the price. "

"After mentioning an issue with the room first allocated to us upon check-in, we were directed to another room, it was excellent… very spacious, view of the river, very clean and lovely bathroom. We had an excellent night sleep in a huge king size bed, it was lovely and quiet especially after closing time. Looking back at what time we checked in, we could’ve timed it better because it was in the middle of food service in the restaurant and it was very busy, so there was a bit of a wait to check...

"We loved the colourful, quirky decor and the fantastic food. It's very convenient for Bingham station and Bingham is a good base for exploring the Vale of Belvoir. Very relaxing and friendly. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - really nice people. The room was really pretty and well appointed with kettle etc."

"The room was beautiful. We had been to a wedding so they allowed late arrival back. The only feedback is they the room was stifling hot to enter. There wasn’t air conditioning but there was a fan they I was happy with. The pillows were so comfy and it was a luxurious stay. Would return. Breakfast was also delicious. "

"Made to feel very welcome. Large room and comfortable."

"The room was pleasant, but the glass door between the bedroom and the toilet and shower area was odd and rather off putting. The bed was comfortable, and we got a good nights sleep. Breakfast was adequate, but the cereal, and other cold buffet items were uninspiring. All in all, a bit dull, particularly since a refurbishment was done in 2019. Ok for a night or two though."

"Another great 2 night stay at this lovely hotel and we were lucky enough to get the same room again which we love. The only downside is that it was very warm and with no air conditioning we had to leave the window open overnight and would prefer to have a fan supplied."

"Quiet and staff was very friendly."

"We really enjoyed staying at forest lodge. We were made to feel very welcome and relaxed in the bar area. Staff were welcoming and kind and friendly. A lady gave us a free bottle of Prosecco to help us celebrate our anniversary. Sitting in the bar having a meal and a drink was one of my highlights on our break. Some of the hotels main procedures cause them a bit of difficulty. For instance asking everyone for photo ID at check in- if this needs to be done it could be done at booking. Also...
