The deck is the perfect spot to watch for local wildlife on the river after a long day of exploring.

Find yourself only a block from downtown Basalt, which boasts a number of shops, restaurants, and parks. This home is located on a bus line, so a car is not necessary for easy access to Aspen. And for any skiers and snowboarders in your group, this is a great location for perfect powder days. You'll be only 15 miles north of Aspen Snowmass, 16 miles north of Buttermilk Ski Area, 18 miles north of Aspen Highlands, and 19 miles northwest of Aspen Mountain.

The location cannot be beat. This property sits right on the river, which is perfect for strolling the trails after work or doing whatever needs to be done during the day. The only concern for me was the level of humidity. There is no A/C and the fans are great, but the ope windows were not helping cool things off, since it was very humid for my entire stay. Other than that, it was perfecrt.

The property was filthy. The floors were so dirty we had to wear shoes at all times. I don’t think the floors had ever been mopped. The area rugs looked like they had never been cleaned. The furniture was not comfortable and seemed dirty as well. We had to wash all dishes prior to use. My bed was propped up with 2 x 4’s and felt like you were sleeping on the hard floor. We couldn’t let the kids sit on or play on the floor it was so dirty. Black hair all in the bathrooms. Dirty doors, baseboards and just all around filthy. Management did send out a house cleaner to mop the floors but it really didn’t help. They were just that dirty. We travel here monthly and were disappointed in this place.

This is far from an updated interior! It's dated and way too much furniture. Both shower doors were broken and patched with a shower curtain, the patio door was so hard to open we were afraid we'd break it, the two chairs on the patio were dirty and one was cracked. Some of the windows did not open and some of the blinds did not work. Bed was comfortable.

Great news place to stay

We had a great time and loved our stay at this place in basalt. The unit feels a bit older but worked well for us. We had some trouble getting the right code to access the garage from the manager but otherwise very smooth.

Basalt Treasure

This property was fantastic. Centrally located in town with easy walkable access to shops and restaurants. Must try The Tipsy Trout and Mountain Heart Brewery, both were excellent. Short 30 minute drive to Snowmass Village.

Nice unit

Oven needs calibration. Washer does not work very well and it's hard to get door to latch. Microwave above stove either needs to be repaired or removed, as the microwave provided on the counter takes up a lot of room. Paperwork says unit 11D, but there is no D on the unit.

You canceled this reservation and moved me.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with VRBO. My reservation for this condo was canceled at the last minute, causing significant disruption to my plans. Instead of staying at the booked condo, I was moved to a condo in Snowmass Village, which was 35 minutes away from Basalt, where I needed to be for medical appointments and surgery. The relocation caused immense inconvenience and stress during an already difficult time. Additionally, the new place was undergoing pool construction, which added noise from 8 AM to 8 PM every day except Sunday for the entire 10 days I stayed there. The construction generated a lot of sawdust that came into the condo and covered everything, making the living conditions uncomfortable and unpleasant. I expect better reliability and communication from VRBO and will think twice before booking with them again.

Love Basalt, with convenient restaurants walking distance, and a free concert mid-week in the summer and only a block away. Fun stay and gold medal fishing.

Great Location in Basalt

The location couldn’t be better … your back door/deck opens to the Frying Pan River, very near its confluence with the Roaring Fork. Steps to downtown Basalt. The lay-out was fine, very clean. Kitchen well appointed. Only complaint: furniture is tired and beds not great.

Great Location for Skiing in Aspen

We enjoyed our stay at this property. PROs: The property is well located to drive to the Buttermilk parking lot to take the bus to the ski resorts. It has a garage you can use which is nice with snow. The Vacasa Manager was great when we checked in and discovered we had no water in the condo. The City of Basalt was doing work on the water lines. She gave us a free night because we had no water for 24 hours. CONs: The photos must have been from awhile ago. This property is not as nice as it appears in the photos. The furniture is tired, the tiles in the bathrooms are cracked (both bathrooms - all across the bathroom floors there is a big line of cracked tiles), the trim is in need of a painting and the overall look of this condo is one in which it has been rented out A LOT. Also, both showers have a weird system to turn it into a shower (as opposed to running a bath) that is NOT obvious at all and took three intelligent adults 20 minutes to figure it out. (You pull the faucet on the bottom where the bath water would run in. You have to hold that ring down and then turn on the shower water at the same time. ) A note would have been great on how to turn the showers on. The heat is nice, it has heated floors, but somehow the bedroom with the double bed gets extremely warm even when heat is turned way down and feels like a sauna in there. Overall the property could use updating. I don't think we would stay here again, despite the location being good.

Please take care of the heating and Wi-Fi

Everything is ok except heating and Wi-Fi. Heating is not working even you turn it on. You have to use the fireplace otherwise you won’t survive the night. One night it was the snow storm and temperature was -18 c and fireplace was not working suddenly and that’s nightmare. The good thing is property’s manager picked up my call and sent maintainer the next day and fixed it. Another thing is Wi-Fi, you can’t do anything with it. Very slow and definitely can’t start a zoom meeting not streaming video. By the way, the tv comes with a Roku box but you can’t open Roku with itself…

Great location

Wonderful location with lovely creek right outside. The apartment was comfortable and had almost everything we needed. We took lovely walks and found it so easy to get around. A word of caution though, washing machine does not drain or spin, and the door to the deck is very challenging to open. I ended up not using the deck because the door was stuck tight.
