"The room was clean and what I anticipated. I will revisit this particular hotel if I visit Curacao again. The views outside the window was limited.. Nothing to talk about. Staff was helpful and friendly. The pool was smaller than expected. The location of the hotel is ideal for walking through the streets and great eating places."

"The only good part of this hotel is that it’s close to the beach. The staff didn’t do much to show any appreciation for those celebrating special occasions. I’ve stayed in all over the Caribbean and usually the staff is very helpful, friendly and accommodating but this front end staff was very laidback and gave a sense of do it yourself feel to the place."

A confortable bed, a big private terrace with two deckchairs We had lovely breakfast and dîner there The staff is very friendly and helpful. A small pool with deckchairs is also available. We had a great stay !"

There are also shops and a restaurant on the property which made things very convenient. I would recommend staying here, especially if you plan to rent a car and explore the island."

"Took my daughter here for a graduation trip. Avila is the oldest hotel on the island, it has history behind it. It was a nice hotel. Very laid back, relaxing environment. The onsite restaurants are just ok. Servers move extremely slow. Although, I found all the food in Curacao to be lackluster. Front desk staff were excellent, very helpful with whatever we needed. Did not rent a car. The taxi app helped us get around. I found that from Avila, the taxis to every place we visited was $20 each...

"Great value for money. Especially for families with little kids. The big water park is alot of fun - the kids couldn’t get enough of it. However, little blemish is that the A/c was leaking and the internet was spotty. Helpful friendly staff the 3 BR apartment was sizable for a family of 5. Car rental upstairs reception was very convenient. Again good value."

"This is a nice small hotel. Very comfortable. Beautiful location on the coast. Our one complaint is that it is listed as on the beach. It would be accurate to say "on the sea", but not "on the beach". It is on a rock outcropping which cannot be safely navigated to the water. There is no sand at all. Other than that, we would heartily recommend."
