Serenity place. Relax in a semi rural setting 18 mile from Acadia National Park

Open floor plan, updated, with new floor and trim, new comfortable furniture, gorgeous view. Accomodates four with two bedrooms (1 Queen, 2 twins). Full deck in front and small deck in back. Everything is new. It is in a wooded private location tucked just off a residential area, just a 1/2 mile from beautiful downtown Ellsworth, and just 18 miles from Acadia National Park. There are many vacation destinations nearby. You will have the run of the house. Come and enjoy. This is double wide trailer, about ten years old, but now completely renovated.

The full-size kitchen is fully stocked with eating and cooking utensils. It does not have specialty items such as a double boiler, but it has plenty of basics. We have a coffee maker for pots of coffee and k-cups. [Bring your own coffee]. We have A/C in the main room and fans in the bedroom. Bring or buy bottled water. The well water is potable, but well water does not agree with water your used to in other regions sometimes. The gas fireplace is non-functional for safety and cost issues. The enclosed deck is bi-level and large with chairs and tables. The abundant wildlife, dear, fox, turkeys, etc. are at no extra charge. Enjoy Maine.

Before departing, please:
1. Wash up dishes
2. Place trash in white bags, and place white bags in the trash receptical on the back deck inside the large black bag.
3. Sweep the floor.
4. Placed used towels and sheets in a pile on the bedroom floor. (The floor is vinyl so damp towels wont hurt the floor)
5. Check to see nothing was left.
6. Let me know of any problems.

Very clean and comfortable. The cottage was conveniently located close to downtown Ellsworth and just a short drive to Acadia. We had a great stay. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

The property was exactly as described in the VRBO directory. Steve, our host, was quick to respond to the few questions we had. Everything functioned properly. The disappointment we experienced was not with the property, but with the National Park Service. Acadia National Park and its unique features was over-utilized and seriously overcrowded. This is no different than other National Parks we have recently visited. We had a better time visiting the western side of Mt. Desert Island! The city of Bar Harbor did not want exploring tourists, they just wanted your money! 4 an hour for on-street parking? 40 for a single lobster roll at the local eateries? Ridiculous!

Great location…Convenient for our plans. Roomy. Enjoyed 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Well stocked kitchen. Thought mattresses could be upgraded…especially in the room with twin beds.

The property was as described, as it was far away from the main road so not to have any road noise. The best thing was being able to spread out after being on the road and that there was a great place to eat close by. The only thing I would have wanted was an on site laundry but I found a nice one in town.

Nestled in a quiet wooded area, the cottage is comfortable and clean with WiFi and Roku. Kitchen is well stocked though I would suggest a toaster oven be added. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay a few days (or weeks). I’d book it again.

Perfect quiet and comfortable place to stay while exploring Acadia and Bar Harbour. It had everything our family of four needed for our stay. Ellsworth is a great town as well-we highly recommend Momo’s cheesecakes while staying here!

Perfect stay

Clean and comfortable, came exactly as advertised. Wonderful location and easy to find your way to things in Ellsworth or to Bangor or Acadia. I highly recommend and will definitely look to check its availability when we’re back in the area!
