  • Grandfather Lookout is a luxury log cabin perched atop Seven Devils Mountain, offering breathtaking views of Grandfather Mountain and convenient access to the area's most popular High Country attractions. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this spacious mountain retreat provides the perfect setting for family vacations, group getaways, and outdoor adventures.

    The open-concept main level features soaring tongue-and-groove ceilings, hardwood floors, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and expansive windows that showcase the surrounding mountain scenery. The kitchen is equipped with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, custom cabinetry, and an island with additional seating. A dining table seats eight guests, with additional seating available at the island.

    Entertainment options include a loft game room with a pool table, shuffleboard table, and card table, as well as a lower-level recreation room with comfortable seating, a large television, wet bar, and wine refrigerator. Multiple covered decks provide ample space for outdoor relaxation, featuring rocking chairs, outdoor dining areas, and a private hot tub overlooking the mountain setting.

Beautiful property, breathtaking views, and the listing was accurate. Banner Elk is close with the necessities and some good restaurants. Stone Walls was our favorite, food was amazing. The host was very responsive to our questions and helpful. Overall great stay and we’d definitely book again.

Home had breathtaking views of Grandfather Mountain. It was cozy and provided closeness yet big enough we werent trampling on one another. The kitchen was fully stocked - making it ideal to cook our meals in. Our family started a new Christmas tradition this year and are looking forward to staying with you next year.

We had a great time. We pick a place yearly before school starts and this year was grandfather lookout. Love the house and the area, and loved that the driveway was paved all the way to the house, it made it a lot easier to get to.

Graduation weekend

We had a wonderful gathering of family for our daughter’s graduation. This property is great. Beautiful views, comfortable spaces for everyone, well stocked kitchen. It was wonderful! Highly recommend. Owners were responsive and excellent to work with.

Wonderful Stay

Great vacation home

Fabulous house to spend a little vacation time in. Not sure how you get people to ever leave. Very lovely place and it was a great place to celebrate my son’s graduation from App State in nearby Boone.

The view from the living room glass doors is totally memorable. The cabin was very clean and management very responsive. The kitchen faucet needs attention immediately. overall the stay was great and would rent again.

The home was spacious and lovely. We especially enjoyed the covered deck with comfortable furnishings. The beds were comfortable and the light switches were conveniently labeled. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, but did not provide staples such as sugar. No laundry soap, softener, or tissues were provided and these would have been appreciated.

Wonderful place for family

We brought our teenagers and their friends up for the weekend and it was the perfect layout. Our bedroom was on the main floor with the beautiful view from the porch nearby. The teenagers enjoyed the pool table, shuffleboard and hot tub. There was a second living room downstairs giving everyone plenty of places to spread out. The location of the house is central to Boone/Blowing Rock and Beech/Sugar Mountain. All of the area attractions are a short distance away. We will stay here again!
