This fido friendly 2 bedroom condominium is in the most convenient location. Located off Grouse Moor Drive, driving down to skiing, golf, tennis or into town for dinner is a snap. There is a public grill located in a gazebo in between the 2 buildings, perfect for evening gatherings with friends or family. This comfortable property offers a queen bed in the master bedroom, a queen in the guest bedroom, and a sectional sofa in the living room. Amenities include washer/dryer, wood burning fireplace and wireless Internet.

What's nearby:
Sugar Mountain Resort is just moments away from this condo, where you'll find an outdoor skating rink, snow tubing, mountain bike tours and a full golf course. There are plenty of restaurants close by, including Reid's Cafe and Elevations Restaurant. Sightseeing is plentiful in this area as well, such as the Foggy Mountain Gem Mine, Mile High Swinging Bridge and Grandfather State Park.

Cozy dog-friendly, bear-themed condo in the Sugar Mountain woods

The condo had a nice cozy feel. We really enjoyed the living room area and the bear-themed decor throoughout the place. The couch was very comfortable. We appreciated the location of the tv where you do not have to crane your neck. We liked the kitchen table to sit and eat and work at our laptops. It was great having everything stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. Also, it was wonderful enabling our dog to stay with us without any weight restrictions, and he was able to feel at home. Internet and cable worked well. The multiple views of the woods offered a tranquil setting. *not to be publicized: Salt for the steps and driveway would be helpful with the ice to help prevent falls and injuries. When arriving at night, it was initially a little difficult finding the unit number and lockbox. I mainly recognized it from pictures I viewed previously. The motion lights outsude were nice. The blue bedroom had no hot water, and the light pull string was removed/broken upon arrival. It would be helpful to have a little earlier check-in time and a little later check-out time.

Birthday Ski Weekend

All our 10 year olds wanted for their birthday was snow, so we headed to the mountains! This rental was clean and tidy, with and excellent set-up for our family of 4. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we loved the access road to walk on and explore the surrounding woods a bit. We would definitely revisit!

Not quite worth it.

The property management company was very communicative and the location of the property is perfect. That's the only positives though. The pillows are so old and flat they are barely 3-dimensional. I like a firm mattress, but these ones were like sleeping on a hard wood floor. We VRBO fairly frequently, and there are definite signs when a property is just used as a turn and burn money maker by the owner. This is one of those cases.

Property was a great location and clean jus left a bad taste because the property MGR never got us hot water. We had to boil water after each day of skiing to clean up

Fall Vacation in Blue Ridge Mountains

We found everything well-stocked. We were quite comfortable the entire week. The only problem was the dryer which appeared to have a clogged hose thus not letting the steam escape. We would stay here again.

So much fun!

Misty woods is magical. The drive there is very STEEP in the mountain so if you’re going during the winter/snow days you need a 4x4 or chains. The place looked like it was all booked since we had many neighbors but it was a very quiet neighborhood. There’s a little trail in the back yard to walk your dog and there’s grass right outside to take them to the bathroom. Kitchen is FULLY stocked. They have everything you need to cook a meal! The only down side is at the end of check out to leave we had to take our trash to the nearest disposal. The thing I didn’t like about the place is that the curtains by the front door are SEE THROUGH. It worries me that someone is watching from the outside. I hope management gets curtains that are not see through for the sliding front door. Otherwise, great stay. We had no problems.

Nice place to stay, close to the slopes. Felt really private, even though we were the middle floor of a townhouse. Steps were covered in snow and melted naturally, fyi.

Perfect Mountain Thanksgiving!

Our stay was such a great experience! Decided to take our Thanksgiving up to the mountains to spend it with our App State son instead of him dealing with the holiday traffic & we’re SO GLAD we did!! Super easy check-in led us to opening the door to the coziest little space…better than we had even imagined! And to top it off, it was decorated for Christmas!! SUCH an awesome surprise!! Kitchen was well-appointed, which made for our Thanksgiving feast prep an easy one. Roomy, welcoming space while being the coziest at the same time! Even our dog felt right at home…never seen her happier! Fires in the fireplace, movies on the large TV, exploring the woods on nature walks. We loved it & will definitely be back!!

condo just average.

The condo needs to be better suited for renters. There were no Kleenex tissues in the bathrooms. You had to use the toilet paper and your fingers went all the way through them very cheap toilet paper. The kitchen only had a half a roll of paper towels which ran out. And there was only one disc golf and no potholders. There were no ice in the icemaker upon arrival. The kitchen had old pots and pans and spears utensils. I would rate the condo below average.

Cabin in the Woods

This is a modest two bedroom cabin style condo that was exceptionally clean and comfortable for us while visiting Banner Elk along with Cosmo, our corgi. In June, we practically had the whole complex to ourselves! For dog owners, I note only one thing- there is very little grass close to the unit for bedtime potty walks- bring a flashlight~
