  • Nestled in a quiet spot on Menai Bridge's Beach Road, Dolfor is a pet-friendly Anglesey holiday cottage with sparkling water views from one of the three bedrooms. Just a short stroll from an iconic North Wales landmark, the cottage sits in the shadow of Thomas Telford's Menai Suspension Bridge, which has been in use since 1826. An ideal choice for a getaway with family and friends, Dolfor boasts airy interiors and a convenient position on the island's coastal path.

Accessed from the landing, a modern bathroom features a walk-in shower, WC and basin.

    The Local Area

Anglesey's Menai Bridge marks the spot where the Isle of Anglesey meets mainland North Wales via the two bridges that stretch across the Menai Strait. With a collection of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs, it's the perfect place to spend a romantic weekend or long-awaited get-together.
From your doorstep, you're just steps away from RibRide, a boating company offering both scenic and high-octane tours around the island, as well as Dylan's, the original site of a beloved North Wales restaurant chain. For other epicurean delights, don't miss & Caws, a deli and cheesemonger's selling the finest artisan, farmhouse cheeses from Wales, the UK and Europe. Other than that, there are plenty of pretty shops for a morning or afternoon mooch.
Whichever direction you take from Menai Bridge, you'll end up at a beautiful beach. If you turn left and head west, Newborough Nature Reserve and Beach is just 30 minutes by car, while a 17-minute drive as the crow flies will bring you to the expansive Red Wharf Bay with its ancient pub on the beach, the Ship Inn. Love the view

Clean and comfortable accommodation. Handy for all amenities and shops. Useful cleaning outside for our dog. Very well equipped if you need to cook at home but plenty of places to eat local within a short walk. Parking only downside but most of time was ok.

New year break

A lovely property located in Menai Bridge. Spacious yet cosy, and one of the most well equipped holiday rentals we have stayed in. Oyster Holiday Cottages were extremely helpful and proactive with any queries we had. It is only on street parking but we were aware of this, knowing where the property was before booking. We would definitely book this again in the future.

Menai holiday

The cottage was small looking from outside, but my goodness it is like a tardis inside . Very clean .everything we needed was there. The bedrooms were big and comfortable. The view of the menai was so lovely . Added bonus for me was a washing machine. Down side was we found a bag of pegs but nothing to hang the washing on . There is a old dolly dryer but can only dry a few at a time . All in all a fantastic place to stay .

A Hidden Gem on the Menai Straits

A real gem tucked away on the banks of the Menai Straits. From the moment you step through the welcoming pink door, the cottage feels far more spacious than the outside suggests, opening into a lovely open-plan living, dining with a large kitchen beyond . Tastefully styled, it’s a joy to stay in. The calm interior, complete with a log burner, feels thoughtfully designed throughout. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a family bathroom with very spacious shower The highlight is the view from the rear—you’re right on the straits, making for a peaceful, calming stay. I loved everything about it. For dog owners, the separate utility entrance and dog wash are a brilliant added touch.
