The Honeyholm is a cozy cottage nesting in the Strathendrick valley adjacent to the Loch lomond and Trossachs National Park. located in a beautiful riverside setting with stunning views across open fields to the Dumgoyne hills and the Campsies.

Just two miles from the historic village of Balfron the cottage is perfectly situated for access to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National park as well as the historic seats of Stirling , Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The Honeyholm has been newly renovated to a superb standard ;please come and relax in style. A gem of a cottage, which will provide a super base for outdoor pursuits or city visits.Perfect for families with a play garden with large lounge, wood burning stove,oak floors, old stone walls and great catering kitchen.

This home is spacious, comfortable and in a beautiful location with easy access to Edinburgh and Glasgow. The host Ian was warm and friendly and went above and beyond to help us and make sure we were comfortable. He even stayed up late to make sure we got in ok after a change in travel plans. Would highly recommend staying here!!

We stayed here with family and had a lovely relaxing time taking in the views and enjoying the accomodation. Ian was a brilliant host, excellent communication, very helpful and friendly. The cottage is lovely and the perfect place for getting together. Thank you for a great holiday, we would most defintely come back.

Our extended family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the space, view, and amenities at this home. The creek view is unbeatable and the hot tub and spacious yard were perfect for our teens. Ian is an excellent host who provided his famous scones upon arrival and checked in with us throughout our stay, providing tips for the rest of our travels around Scotland.

4 days with the amazing view of the Campsie Hills and river Endrick. Had friends and cousins to drinks also Ian the owner, the room was perfect for entertaining as well as the 5 of us. Lots for children which we did not use (no children)

Seven of us stayed for two weeks. My three grandsons were competing in the BMX Worlds in Glasgow. We arrived late at night after a long flight from Canada and delayed luggage. Ian had a pot of chilli and homemade scones waiting for us! He was very welcoming and helpful during our stay. We were very comfortable in the cottage and we enjoyed being in the country. People in Balfron were welcoming as well.

Ian was welcoming, and the property was as stated. Nightly fires rounded off our days. Ian’s suggestion of Coffee at the rugby and bowling club was fantastic, as we were entertained by a local bowling league encounter.

Great place to stay. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. The accommodation was excellent with a spacious living area, well furnished kitchen. All the bedrooms were spacious, clean and modern. All the facilities were top notch and above all the location and views were absolutely stunning. We can’t wait to go back, our granddaughter has called it her “new house!”

My daughters and I had a magical visit to celebrate my birthday. We arrive and enjoyed the hot tub in the rain, woke to a gorgeous day drove 20 minutes to Balmaha and did some hiking and again enjoyed the hot tub. The next day was completely cloudless and we hiked Ben Lomond and we all were aided in our recovery by a long soak in the hot tub. The home is spacious, beautiful and clean with the best part being the bottle of wine and home made scones Ian share for our arrival!! There's a playground for little kids, a trampoline for all and beauty all around. Sure to be a hit with everyone!!

We spent 3 nights in this wonderful cottage. The property is exactly as listed on vrbo. Ian, the host, was very helpful and the home-baked scones were a very nice welcome surprise. The cottage is surrounded by pastures with lots of sheep and cows, and the views from the living room, hot tub and master bedroom are wonderful. Vey convenient for exploring the Loch Lomond area.

Wow is this place amazing! Ian brings old fashioned, high quality hospitality. He makes you feel at home immediately with scones and wine and helps you to see Scotland as a local. We were very comfortable in the cottage which had everything we need for both children and for adults. The hot tub was great and the kids LOVED the creek and play structures. Using the cottage as our base, we explored Loch Lomond NP, Trossachs NP, Glasgow, Stirling, and Falkirk. Coming back "home" each evening to cook and relax was amazing. As frequent travelers and VRBO guests, this property is be far my family's favorite. Thanks for an amazing stay.

The layout was perfect for three generations of family. Grandparents had the en-suite downstairs bedroom, parents and their children had the two en-suite bedrooms upstairs. The hot tub proved a great success with everyone and the children’s play area was perfect for the three children aged from 3 to 10 years. The rear garden with access to the river at the bottom allowed for lots of exercise for an energetic Labrador. All in all, perfect for everyone!

Myself and 6 friends had a weekend away in honeyholm, had a fantastic weekend. Ian welcomed us with homemade scones which were delicious, he was a great host and checked everything was fine for us. The cottage itself was clean and spacious, plenty room for us all. We spent the weekend in the hot tub which again was great! Would definitely recommend to others and we plan to return when we can

Despite this being a working trip, we have all left feeling relaxed and recuperated. The location is absolutely stunning and I have loved starting my mornings stood by the river at the bottom of the garden listening to the water ripples and the birds. Ian is an amazing, generous and kind host who made us feel so welcome and was always on hand to point us in the right direction. Property is beautiful, well finished, clean and generously sized (the pictures don't do the room sizes justice!). Our dog loved exploring and the humans loved the views from the hot tub! We will definitely be back

We had a fantastic stay at Honeyholm Croft, our first time here and will definitely return! The property has everything you could wish for, and was so comfortable and luxurious. The views are stunning, and the location is excellent for exploring nearby. Ian was a fantastic host who made you feel instantly welcome and at home. Our break was just perfect in every way, we miss the place already!
