"Bakewell is amazing and the property location is superb. However the property was clean inside, although there was paint hanging off walls and the windows were incredibly dirty. The outside was shocking, the garden was a mess and totally overgrown. The oven didn’t work which was so frustrating! All very disappointing, but the local area is stunning and made it okay. "

Warm , clean and very well equipped.Very close to the town for wandering to the shops, pubs etc. & opposite a lovely park and some great dog walks (we headed for the Monsal Trail)Super comfy beds and lovely en-suite bathrooms in every bedroom.. always a big plus when there are lots in the group. "This cottage makes the most of its small space. It is comfortable, cosy, pretty and has everything for a short or longer stay. It is perfectly located for Baslow and all that it has to offer, including just a short stroll from the wonderful village shop. I enjoyed my stay very much but, in my opinion, it is overpriced. Also, be aware that the neighbour has a routine of early to bed, early to rise (5.30 am.) Not particularly conducive to a holiday!"

"Absolutely fantastic property. Messaging the owner was simple, with quick responses. Great neighborhood. Easy 5 minute walk (downhill) to shops, pubs and restaurants. A little longer (and more work) back up the hill. Extremely clean, well appointed and comfortable. Easy to get to local estates and attractions. If renting a car, get the smallest you can as the streets in and around Bakewell are very narrow. Would rent again!"
