Wake up to birdsong instead of traffic: this spacious apartment of over 100 m², with a garden terrace, covered seating area, private entrance and free parking, sits nestled in the woodland of the Auetal valley, surrounded by nothing but forest.
If you are looking for real peace and quiet, this is the place: coffee on the terrace in the morning, hiking straight from the doorstep, and stillness in the evening. Ideal for families and couples, for hikers, and for anyone who simply wants to switch off.
THE APARTMENT

Thanks to the forest setting, the apartment stays pleasantly cool in summer and cosily warm in winter.

THE AREA
The Auetal is a paradise for explorers. The Rehburg-Loccum pilgrimage trail runs right through the area, and the Schaumburg region tempts with Schaumburg Castle, the Paschenburg, the Schillat Cave, the Jahrtausendblick viewpoint and the dinosaur tracks at the old quarry on the Bückeberg.
There is plenty for families too: the Rolfshagen open-air pool, the Tropicana water park, the Dinosaur Park, Potts Park, the Wisentgehege wildlife park and Lake Steinhude, with something for explorers big and small.
Despite all the tranquillity, you are well connected: a small grocery shop and a petrol station are around three minutes away by car, and the A2 motorway about seven. From there, day trips to Hamelin with its Pied Piper old town, Porta Westfalica, Minden, Bückeburg or Hanover are well worth it.
GOOD TO KNOW
The house sits directly at the edge of the forest. To protect the woodland, open fires and smoking outdoors are prohibited by law from 1 March to 31 October; this also applies to barbecues with an open flame.
