Acropolis Charming Apt with Large Balcony - DM17

Apartment DM17 is a cosy apartment with a spacious terrace located in the creative and charming neighbourhood of Koukaki.

This fourth floor apartment sits opposite a charming church bell tower that rings each morning (a true taste of local life!). The building has two lifts, which can be reached after a few steps at the building entrance.

The neighbourhood is full of restaurants, bars, shops, and markets, including the beloved Takis Bakery, famous for fresh bread, pies, cakes and more!

A scenic pedestrian walkway nearby leads directly to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, and the picturesque streets of Plaka. The Acropolis metro station, a short walk away, provides easy access to the airport and Piraeus Port via the metro (each requires one line transfer) and to other parts of Athens.

Early check-in and late check-out are possible depending on availability. Standard times are 3:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM check-out.

For arrivals after 21:00, we recommend using our trusted taxi service (paid to the driver). If you arrive on your own, a staff member will meet you and a €20 late check-in fee applies.

This was a great property! The property manager was very nice and let us check in a few minutes early without any issue. The place was clean, not too small, and the balcony was a great place to hangout. We were right down the street from a gyro stand, gelato place, plus lots of other restaurants. The bathroom is definitely pretty small, as other reviews mentioned, but we didn’t mind. It was a nice area, we felt safe walking around at night and nothing sketchy going on. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it friends !

The apartment is simple but it is also exactly what you need for a stay like this. Can’t say enough good about the location! You can walk to everything you want to see for historical sites, laundry and grocery and restaurants nearby. Great ride service to and from was super helpful and excellent host communication. Totally recommend! Would stay here again for sure!

Fantastic base for exploring Athens and the Acropolis

This location is close to the Acropolis, a Metro station and and several neighborhoods. It is a nice base heading out and walking to the National Garden and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. There is also a bus stop right outside tge front door of the building with easy connections to museums and most must see sights.

Great Location

We had 3 days in Athens so most of the things we wanted to see were around the Acropolis. This apartment was a 5 min walk to get to the main area around the Acropolis including food and shopping. We really enjoyed the apartments large balcony. There is a view of a beautiful church and if you look closely, you can see the Acropolis on the hill. The apartment was quiet and safe. I would definitely come back!

Perfect Location - great balcony

This apartment was perfect for our three night stay in Athens. It is just as described. The outside balcony is roomy. Easy access and great response from management. We did not like the bathroom because of the slippery floor as the shower water goes onto the marble floor, making it a little dangerous.

Great location that is close to all tourists spots

We were generally very happy with our stay there. Room is spacious for the two of us and the balcony is also large. About the only drawback is the constant street noise we could hear from the apartment, both during the day and night.

OK stay

There are definite pros and cons to this place. To start with the pros, the location is great. A short walk away from the action while not being in a very busy area. There are great restaurants nearby. You’d never have to leave the block to eat and not be disappointed communication with the host was great. He also booked us a taxi home which saved the headache of booking one ourselves although we were told a price and that we could pay credit card then when we arrived at the airport the driver was not happy we were paying with a card and charged us extra because of it so that peeved me off. The balcony is amazing. So big and we spent a lot of time out there. Now the major negative here is the shower. It is impossible not to get the floor of the tiny bathroom wet…and I mean WET. I had to put the shower down to a trickle, angle it to the wall and try to shower as quick as humanly possible but still managed to get water all over the floor. Although I read the reviews, I was like how bad could it be? It’s bad. If you value a good shower this is not the place for you! I’m also a light sleeper and found the restaurants downstairs to be noisy. They play loud music and the sound of the bass was keeping me awake although they stop by 12am/1am ish. So overall it was pretty good. Depends what you need in a stay. For us the shower/bathroom would definitely deter from booking again.

Adorable apartment in a great location

This is an adorable little apartment. It’s clean, simply furnished, and organized. It has everything one might need (including a washing machine!) and a small kitchen space. The location is incredible. It’s close to everything, and has a lovely nighttime view of the top of the acropolis. The staff are kind and helpful and check in and out were easy processes.

Location, location, location

Here you experience a real neighborhood, yet are walking distance to many places you’ll want to visit. Nearby are Restaurants of varying price ranges, bakeries, drug stores, wine stores, coffee shops, and gelato and souvlaki stands on the corner. Very few tourists. And a lovely balcony. Love this location!

Close enough to all of the sights and Plaka but far enough away to avoid the circus feeling. Balcony has a small view of the acropolis that was wonderful. Everything was within walking distance. Extra shout out to the booking agents staff, their attention to detail in arranging transportation possibly saved my sanity.
