Our 5 acres of land provide the perfect peaceful retreat in the mountains.

Long distance views from both the main deck and private hot tub deck will ensure a relaxing, back-to-nature stay. You can forget the cell phones and computers for a true break from the real world if desired...but full cell signal with all known carriers and WiFi allow for reality checks as needed.

The driveway is steep and narrow, but all paved except for the flatter parking area, where a 2-to-4-point turn will turn your vehicle around again. For those not comfortable on mountain roads, please take note of the steepness, as it can seem intimidating. But to almost all of our guests, it's just a part of our mountain cabin experience - adding to the adventure! * Please also note: We have 42 steps from the driveway to the front door; so unloading your vehicle can be a workout! For those with mobility difficulties, the steps are not suitable.

With all modern amenities, one won't need to leave the cabin, but the surrounding area has so much to offer to the adventurous at heart. Conveniently located less than 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, 12 mintues from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 20 minutes from the Biltmore Estate and Black Mountain, 30 minutes from Chimney Rock/Lake Lure and Hendersonville, this quiet getaway is still close to all the attractions and activities.

The cabin was extremely clean, well stocked with everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. Breathtaking views from the deck. Saw a momma bear and her 4 cubs! The road and driveway in were paved and perfect for the adventurous as they were steep climbs up the mountainside. Many steps from the driveway to the house so you definitely get a leg work out. Perfect location for our visit to Biltmore and Chimney Rock State Park. Asheville is rebuilding but many roads shops and restaurants are open!

Wonderful!!

Absolutely Amazing

My husband and I loved the privacy, stunning views, and cleanliness of this cabin. There were many special touches from the owners that made our stay extra memorable. We didn't feel that anything was missing that we needed. We are planning to come back again!

Anniversary Get Away

We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin and how well it was stocked with everything we needed for the trip. The only thing we needed from town were the groceries that we ate. There were extra towels, toiletries and even spices in the kitchen for us to use. We were there celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and loved our time there. The hosts thought of everything ! We would definitely love to go back!!

Beautiful and comfortable cabin

We were so happy with the cabin and its view of the gorgeous mountains. It was perfectly clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed for a week of downtime. It's an easy 30-minute jaunt to Asheville and the city's many things to do. We couldn't have been happier.

A beautiful view, very comfortable!

We had a great week in the mountains and exploring the area. The house had very convenience you could need. The view is spectacular and we found great restaurants, wine bars and breweries in Asheville just about 12 minutes away

Secluded Perfection

The views, the cabin, the location - all spectacular. Don't be put off by the driveway or stairs. Both were perfectly manageable if you either grew up in a more rural area or just went into it with a can-do attitude. It's all worth it for the views and seclusion.

Cabin was amazing. Super clean, amazing views. Stairs to the property were a workout, but that was clearly explained in the description. Cabin has all the necessities you will need. Great diner down the street and 2 breweries and grocery store close by. Will definitey stay here again.

Relaxing

We loved our stay, the lazy bear is quiet and peaceful. It was perfect for our week where we wanted to unplug and relax, while not being too far outside Asheville for breweries and dining. 10/10 would recommend

Breathtaking View

Centrally located cabin high on a mountain side with breathtaking views. Not only the view of mountains, but the night sky was breathtaking. Waking up with snow one morning, then going to sit in the hot tub having your coffee was amazing. The bed was very comfortable. Not having anyone around is another bonus. Loved watching a beautiful woodpecker just hanging out . The deck is great for relaxing. The grill made it even better. It was way more than what we were expecting! The area is recovering there is plenty to do, so come visit and help people get their lives back to normal..

View from the top of the world

If you can conquer those steps, the view is totally worth it! Beautiful cabin that was perfect for our trip. The view is beyond breathtaking and I loved that we could open all the windows to get that crisp mountain air. Great property for adults, and the owner was so kind to keep me updated during the aftermath of hurricane Helene. Would definitely recommend the stay!
