WELCOME TO THE BIG OAK CABIN which is located in Black Mountain. SUPER Easy access to down town Black Mountain, Montreat & Asheville
Driving to this home is easy, via paved LEVEL ROAD! (town maintained road) allows you to drive right to this cabin.
Located just a little over a mile from center of the town of Black Mountain, enjoy this easy get to home, with a LARGE YARD, AND CIRCLE DRIVE!

Our cabin is close to all attractions. Minutes from the highway, in a quiet neighborhood. This location is allows for convenient access to downtown Asheville (15 minutes!). One mile drive to center of downtown Black Mountain, 3 miles to Montreat NC!

Enjoy staying in this NEWLY BUILT log cabin with conveniences that come from being close to town, and space to roam outside.
The Big Oak cabin is a NEWLY built custom log home located on a LARGE (1 acre corner lot) off a level residential paved road in Black Mountain. This property is conveniently located to Downtown Black Mountain (1 mile) and Asheville (15 miles).

The Big Oak Cabin offers beautiful indoor and outdoor areas to relax and entertain, including a spacious back deck, ample covered front porch, and a large back yard fire-pit (firewood provided!)

The home features spacious rooms, open floor plan, exposed beam construction, cathedral ceilings, large picture windows, central air, . Enjoy HIGH SPEED INTERNET W/ WI-FI THROUGHOUT.
ALL Rooms equipped with Ruko. You can watch the basic free channels, or simply log onto to your own subscriptions.
The Big Oak Cabin comes stocked to meet all your basic needs! Linens, extra pillows, toiletries, basic household items, firewood provided for the outdoor fire pit and COFFEE included (We provide coffee pods for the Keurig, a standard coffee maker also present).

Beds sleep 6 people comfortably. Linens provided. Brand new stove, washer and dryer. Fully stocked kitchen including coffee maker, Keurig, blender and dishes/ utensils needed for cooking and baking. Service for 8.

The large parking area with circle drive will accommodate 4 vehicles easily!
Please contact us with questions concerning early check-ins and additional days, if possible we will make accommodations.

Once all rental fees are paid, guests will receive instructions for entry into home.

The cabin’s location is great with easy access to downtown Black Mouuntain and easy to access I-40 to go to Asheville. The surrounding area has quiet neighbors and enjoyed our weekend. This visit was our second at the property and the owners are very responsive.

This cabin is adorable, very clean and in a great location. Out of the busy part of town, but still really close to everything. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linens were provided. The owners were wonderful to work with and we will definately be renting from them in the future.

Beautiful Cabin!

We really enjoyed our weekend away! The Black Mountain/Asheville area is beautiful! The cabin is stocked with anything you will need and is VERY CLEAN! The host were wonderful to work with, and very responsive to messages! We will definitely be back!

Mother/Daughter weekend

We loved the Big Oak Cabin! It had everything we needed for a fun mother/daughter weekend. The beds were comfortable and the sectional couch was perfect for watching movies. The kitchen table was large enough for six of us and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner. Loved the location being so close to downtown Black Mountain and a 10 min. drive to the grocery store, but it still felt like we were in the mountains.

Pleasant experience

We were very pleased with Big Oak Cottage and received quick responses from owners. Everything was as stated in the description. The location was great for our visits to Asheville and Black Mountain. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice property!

The cabin was as described and was clean. We stayed over Christmas and the hosts had put up a tree which was really nice. Communications with the hosts was excellent. Black mountain is a nice area we would like to explore again.

Beautiful craftsmanship on inside of log cabin. Comfortable, clean and accommodating with the little extras. Black Mountain is 5-minute drive. My family loved the area and cabin!

Wonderful cozy cabin!

We came to Asheville for a family 40th birthday. This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family. We have small children so the outdoor space was perfect for them! It was well stocked. Extremely clean. So many fun games for the kids. John and Rachel are wonderful hosts. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Our mountain trip

We loved our visit to North Carolina and our stay in the mountains. The cabin was a perfect location, not too far up the mountain either and we were close to the downtown only a 6 minute drive! The cabin is gorgeous and everything we needed was in there! I recommend driving through the Blue Ridge Mountains which is close to our location. The views and waterfalls were breathtaking !

We didn’t want to leave!

I could go on and on about this sweet cabin and it’s incredibly kind & communicative hosts! I took four fourteen year old girls to Black Mountain/Montreat for a week, and this cabin was our home base. Not only is it as charming as it looks in the pictures, but it’s absolutely spotless, comfortable and convenient. It’s stocked with books and games, had fantastic air conditioning, a TV in every bedroom and excellent WiFi (very important when traveling with teenagers😂). We didn’t run into any issues while we were there, but the hosts were so responsive to every message. I felt comfortable that they would’ve been on top of any issues had any come up. Long story short - I highly recommend this cabin. We didn’t want to leave!

Beautiful, well appointed, quiet and squeaky clean!

What a great stay at a special cabin at Black Mountain. The owners were extremely communicative, kind and helpful and the cabin itself is well appointed, squeaky clean, and very comfortable. The cabin is a five minute drive to the charming town of Black Mountain, and it is also very close to Montreat where we enjoyed some world class hiking. I was tickled to find some extras, including dishwasher soap, laundry supplies and even a few spices, salt, pepper and olive oil. So many places do not keep anything extra with which to cook a simple meal so it was nice to have a few basics and to be able to run a load of laundry. They thought of everything, including puzzles, games and even various places to sit (in both in the back yard and the front porch). Even though it is close to town and in a neighborhood, the cabin feels private and quiet. We slept so well. Thanks for a lovely stay and for making it so easy to check in and out. We look forward to coming back.

We stayed at the cabin on our way to Carolina beach. Cabin was perfect for our family of 5. Very clean and everything we needed. Quiet cute little town. Wish we could stay longer!

great getaway

This cabin is in a great location (very easy travel into Asheville) with excellent amenities and a peaceful and spacious backyard. I would highly recommend this rental for anyone traveling to the Asheville area!
