It is an old motel so it could use upgrades like flooring, but our room had a dehumidifier to take care of the closed up hotel room smell that you get in any hotel room. "We loved the charm and location. It was peaceful and cozy and not a very far drive to downtown Saugatuck. There's a grocery store across the street. We enjoyed sitting outside on courtyard deck and enjoyed the evening music that was played. One night we skipped going out to dinner and ordered pizza and had dinner in the courtyard. We would stay there again!!"

"Our 4th stay in this hotel over the past 20 + years the hotel was built. Common areas were kept clean. The room itself was in poor repair with several torn holes and areas in the carpet, scrapped, scratched up surfaces; the room had no safe, one small closet, only 2 small drawers to put clothes in for 4 people (?) .... in general, required rehabbing. The room & bath floors looked clean, however, our feet turned black from walking around. We had no remote to control TV functions....only one...
