Only thing was we couldn’t find instructions for the cooker and to put the hot water on but we nipped over to reception and they were helpful (with the hot water and we worked out the cooker!!). Fabulous stay and would love to come back!"

Good Wi-Fi and smart TV. Also great elevator! My favorite accommodation during our 3 1/2 week trip through Scotland. Streets are one way so beware when trying to find the apartment. Also, no available street parking nearby, best to pay the extra 20 pounds a day for parking. A small microwave would have...

"Great restaurant and friendly staff but the hotel is across the road and felt like a refurbished seniors care home. The rooms need a serious update so they don’t feel like a hospital room. "

"Great town to base yourself we stayed there for 8 years so we know this . The guest house is beautiful back from the road so very peaceful. The hosts are so lovely and welcoming. The room we had was a small double and it was immaculate,clean and had everything you need . Breakfast was excellent and there was plenty to eat . You won’t be disappointed "

"Very large, clean and comfortable room. Staff were outgoing and attentive to any of our needs. I was hoping for a more authentic castle experience, but furnishings were basic and a bit worn out. The restaurant service was slow due to under-staffing, but the staff were all friendly and engaging and the food was good. Overall, a comfortable stay, but don't expect much of an experience."
