"This hotel is in a very beautiful area. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding mountains and the room was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The breakfast buffet was great and included in our stay. There was only one restaurant on site and you pretty much had to get everything from the restaurant such as any snacks, wine, etc. That would be my only knock on the hotel. It would have been nice to have a little market nearby on the property or at least a vending machine....

"Excellent accommodation, would definitely recommend it to all my friends travelling to this area. 10mins walk to train/bus. 6mins walk to the nearest supermarket. Much affordable option compared to staying in Hallstatt. It’s only 11 mins by train (plus the 10mins walk to train station) Excellent facilities in the apartment - got everything you need. Laundry, kitchen, gym, parking, etc."

"Seriously the best location in Hallstatt. One of our windows faced the lake. The other window faced the famous church. What a view! "Great Castle Hotel with nice courtyard and amazing breakfast buffet. Helpful staff. We stayed in a nice large suite with 2 stories, one for each bedroom and bathroom and kids absolutely loved it Not too many dining options late in the evening so need to drive out of Mondsee for that but otherwise decent restaurants just minutes away."

"It was such a nice and pretty hotel in an incredible location, I ended up extending my stay five days longer that planned The receptionists, the housekeeping team , the restaurant staff were all so helpful . "We stayed at the Tiny House, which was not only super cute but also very comfortable and had everything we needed for a perfect weekend. The place is amazing — nestled in the mountains and close to the lake, it felt like being in a fairy tale. The kitchen is fully equipped, so we could cook easily — they even provide herbs, oil, and salt. I would definitely come back to Chalet am Sonnenhang without a doubt!"
