Want to easily enjoy all of your favourite activities - what ever your age? This is the family cottage for you!

Year round, lakefront split level home on Angevine Lake with 3 large upstairs and one huge downstairs bedroom that will sleep 10 people very comfortably. Beach house and children's playhouse on the property means there is a place for everyone to enjoy their activity. Beautiful outside stone fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, living room, dining area, recreation room, washer/dryer, internet, BBQ and easily accessed huge deck and lakefront.

Swim, go fishing or boat from the sunny docks by the beach house and bike or hike right from the cottage! You can also snowshoe, cross country ski or skate right outside your front door in the winter. In less than 20 minutes you can be at Wentworth ski hill, the ocean or your favourite golf course. Or, stay and enjoy the children's playhouse and outside fireplace on the property. Canoe and paddles available for use and there is easy access for boats.

On a lake AND close to the ocean - Northumberland Strait - with golfing, skiing, cycling/hiking trails, Jost Winery, Tatamagouche Brewery and amenities in the quaint towns of Pugwash, Wallace and Tatamagouche all less than 20 minutes away! Hop on your bike and ride along the scenic Rails to Trails - Pictou to Pugwash route!
This reservation has a Firm cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 60 days prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 60 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 30 to 59 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 30 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.
Our house rules: primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, pets permitted.
Pets must be confirmed with owner and be well trained.
Motorized boats must be confirmed with the owner and cleaned prior to bringing to the lake.
Guests must respect the quiet of the Lake. Please, no loud music/ noise after 10 pm.

Once your reservation is accepted, a rental agreement will be sent to you. The refundable damage deposit and rental agreement must be complete and accepted for your reservation to be fully confirmed.

The place was beautiful on the lake. Very peaceful and rural. Further out than expected but had fun exploring.

Absolutely stunning property. We were in the lake every day except for 1 day it rained. Lawn was perfect for washer toss and cornhole. Plenty of room for the 8 of us. We were able to rent 2 kayaks for the week so I do recommend that. The house was stocked very well with dishes and utensils. Internet is not the best but to be expected in a remote area. If you require internet access on a steady basis just be aware it’s intermittent. We cannot wait to come again next year for our annual family vacation.

We had a wonderful stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the cottage. The only thing was that there was no tv, and my father-in-law did really miss that. The cottage itself was spacious and had all the things we needed to have a wonderful and relaxing week. Thank you to our hosts who were very responsive when we needed to reach out. Would highly recommend! :)

Six adults and 3 children ages 13,4 and 18 months. Something for everyone. Cottage was well stocked. Canoe, dock and raft were used daily. Large yard and fire pit were great as well. Lots of outdoor seating for everyone. Highly recommend.

This is the second year our family has stayed at this property. The house is clean, roomy and had everything we needed. We love our days hanging out down at the lake. it is very quiet and relaxing. Mark is very easy to deal and responds to any questions promptly. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

We were 3 sisters in our 70’s on our first visit to the Maritimes. We chose Angevine Lake as centrally located fot day trips to Halifax, St John, and PEI. We loved the peace and quiet of the lake. We heard loons!

While this property was clean and at a fantastic location, it was extremely dated, with windows and doors not working properly. We had confusion with the check in, with a renters agreement needing to be signed and communication. Trash sorting was cumbersome. This property should not be a 'superhost'.

The property is really best of both worlds - secluded with lake front with super comfortable accommodations + all necessary amenities within a short drive. The hosts were very accommodating of all my queries and requests, my only regret was to not have stayed longer!

Loved this spot . Great place for young kids. Shoreline had shallow Sand/ fine gravel entry - very safe. Water super warm , nice to have a dock and float to swim to. Everything we needed for canoeing provided in boathouse. Quiet , private , especially on weekdays. Loved the big outdoor fireplace to make s’mores! Clean , every kitchen item we needed was there. Nice BBQ on spacious deck Lots of towels , small but comfortable upstairs bedrooms. Furniture a little dated- that’s good when you bring kids! My only concern was the dampness in basement suite - living area, large second washroom, queen bed and 3 bunk beds in same room - great for family but oh so musty. Upstairs heat pump/ air conditioning can’t reach basement suite Get a dehumidifier downstairs and we’ll be back in a heartbeat!!

Our family had a fantastic week at Mark and Stephanie's cottage on the lake. The dock, floating dock, fishing, and paddling around made for a great summer vacation. The large outdoor fireplace was the perfect way to extend the truly beautiful sunset over the lake. Thanks so much for having us!
