Spirit Bear Chalet: Your Home Away From Home in Angel Fire, NM

Golf in the summer and enjoy cross-country skiing in the winter – right outside your door. Breathtaking views and plentiful wildlife to watch.
This large 5-bedroom home features a great room with vaulted ceilings and a fireplace, a dining room, and a sunroom with gas fireplace. There’s a spacious kitchen, laundry room and a huge deck overlooking the golf course. Relax in the hot tub on the back patio or cozy up to the propane firepit. This home has 5 TVs and high speed Internet.

The master bedroom is on the main level and features a king bed, ensuite bath and gorgeous New Mexican wood furniture. Upstairs are 3 more bedrooms – two with a king bed in each and the third with a queen. The fifth bedroom is a large bunk room behind the upstairs bedrooms that also shares a full bath (please note that access to the bunkroom is through either the King or the Queen bedroom. The bunk room has vaulted ceilings, cedar sided walls, 2 sets of bunkbeds (sleeps 4), a Smart TV and a work desk. It shares a bath with one of the King bedrooms.

The home features a covered back patio that overlooks the wooded back yard. The back patio features a propane firepit and a propane grill as well as a hot tub for soaking after a day of hiking, skiing or biking or simply for star gazing. The large front deck overlooks hole 15 of the golf course and is the perfect place to watch wildlife. This home is only a few blocks from the Angel Fire Country Club and a very short drive to the Ski Mountain and the world class Mountain Bike Park.

There is a two-car garage where you can store your bike/ski gear. It also features a ping pong table and a dart board for more family fun. Please note that there is no parking in the garage.

This home was a great home. They had everything we needed. Kitchen was stocked with everything. The living room was a great size for 8 adults and 2 toddlers. The bedrooms were all nice. I would definetly stay here again.

Amazing

Cabin was clean. Very well stocked with everything you may need for your stay! This cabin had everything you needed ! You just need food and you can enjoy! Great time close to the golf course, lake's and convince of small town stores!

Best rental to date!

Absolutely beautiful home, with tons of space for our youth group! We had 7 teenagers, 5 adults, and a toddler, and nobody ever felt like they were cramped or anything. Tons of amenities, and amazing communication with our host. Will definitely look to rent again whenever we return to Angel Fire!

Fun New Mexico Vacation

This cabin is beautiful. We saw a ton of wildlife and our overall stay was very enjoyable. The location is perfect, being right between Taos and Red River. My only complaint was that the cabin itself wasn’t very clean during our stay. It didn’t look or feel as though the carpets had been vacuumed. There was a significant amount of dirt and leftover food/crumbs in the carpets and rugs of the main living rooms as well as a couple of the bedroom floors. The kitchen surfaces also were not cleaned well. We had to wipe them down once we arrived. We would have vacuumed as well, since we had such small children, but we never found a vacuum. I want to note, I think this falls back on the cleaning crew. I think they must have slacked the day they cleaned it for our arrival. However, the manager of the property was great and I’m confident that she will have this fixed for future guests. Despite the cleanliness, our trip and the cabin was great. I would definitely recommend the property to others!

It was perfect!

The cabin was wonderful! Great area, large front deck and back patio with grill and hot tub, large kitchen and living areas. The kids loved the bunk room and the bedrooms were great. The whole cabin was equipped well and accommodated our needs well. As a family, we like to cook on vacation and it was especially nice to fit everyone in the kitchen who wanted to be in there. The living space that had a turntable and albums was a favorite as well. We hope to return!

Above and beyond

The house and property manager went above and beyond! The property manager was readily available for any questions we had about the house. What they had, how does this work, checking in, etc. Then with the house, it was the best well stocked home any of us have EVER stayed in! Plenty of kitchen appliances, bathroom supplies, pillows, blankets, towels, etc. They literally had everything we needed and then had items we might have forgotten. Definitely a house we will stay in again when we come back to the Angel Fire area! Proximity to the ski resort and grocery store was so convenient too.

Awesome for skiing!

This was our second time to stay here with a family of nine. Everything you could possibly want in a house! Kitchen was fully stocked, linens galore, numerous ways to make coffee, and the hot tub tops it off! Comfy beds, plenty of hot water for showers, very clean and decorated nicely. Our first choice for skiing Angel Fire!

Great property!

My family of 10 stayed at the house for a reunion/ski weekend. The house was perfect for our stay. The hot tub was hot and clean and very much enjoyed after a day of skiing. The kitchen is large, fully equipped and accommodated our mornings and nights of cooking. We had lots of fun there!

Awesome! So spacious.

This was so convenient to ski mountains. So much room and space for the kids. Clean and very comfortable beds and furniture. Deer come right up to back door. Hot tub was awesome.
