"Good breakfast. Some of the soft furnishings in bedroom starting to look aged and a bit shabby. Cobweb on ceiling window and thick dust on curtain pelmet. One of the befs was broken on one side"

"This was a great stay. A beautiful heritage property. Felicia and her Paul were fantastic hosts. We stayed with our son his wife and their 22 month old toddler. They could not have made us more welcome. Felicia was very accommodating about breakfast and other things as our son was running the Cheshire held marathon. The breakfasts were all delicious. Highly recommend this as a place to stay."

"Hotel needs an update. Staff were nice enough and all the bits you need were there but the customer experience was lacking. Our room was lovely, if cold. The radiators only work part of the time. The characterful bathroom did not have a big enough radiator - no lingering in the bath with just a tidgy towel rail to heat you ( a tall ceiling and giant window.) There was very little phone signal (not their fault of course), but the wifi was atrocious, barely there and dropping out regularly -...

"We have stayed here before and it was perfect. Unfortunately this time round it wasn't. The room was cold. We put the heating on which was switched off at some point during the night. Leading to me having excruciating pain. Then there was a huge amount of noise through the night above and at the side of us. I think we were place next to staff quarters or where they do work in the hotel. Didn't sleep at all and it was frustrating. But the Spa was amazing and Anastasia was brilliant."

"Clean room, helpful and friendly staff, pool was great but changing rooms were a bit old and in need of a refresh (as is the whole hotel, such as the carpets and corridors being musty with peeling paint); rooms and restaurant and bar areas were all very clean and well-maintained. "Room was filthy, dirt on floor. Towels were dirty. No staff around to complain too. No coffee or tea in room either! Definitely not family friendly. I was staying alone and would not recommend "
