Beautiful authentic " Cabin in the woods"

It's nestled in the forest at the base of the mountain and ski lift. 3 floors and really really Cool. It's a big relief to walk into a property and know that it's clean! We didn't have to re wash dishes or cook ware. If I ever make it back to Girdwood AK, this is where I will stay.

Great Girdwood Property

The property was spacious, clean and neat. Perfect place for a ski trip with close access to the mountain. Love the beautiful mossy trees surrounding the property, and the Hot Tub was perfect for relaxing after a long ski day!

furnishings and amenities are outdated & seemed neglected. 1 toilet was broken and couldn’t flush. The lower level rooms were cold & required noisy or broken electric heaters.

Worst Vacation Rental Ever

1-Electrical outlets in upstairs bedroom were failing and needed replaced. Which had to completed during out stay.2-Hot Tub was so disgusting upon arrival that management had to be called for maintenance and cleaning. 3-Beercans were left in Hot Tub area.4-Lighting in main living area constantly flickers.5-Upstairs bathroom outlets worked intermittently. 6-Burners on stove did not work properly.7-Entrtway heater didn't work.8-3rd floor bathroom heater didn't work.9-Dryer door doesn't stay closed. Impossible to do laundry.10-Downstairs bedroom across from entry-way smells like black-mold. I would never put children in this bedroom.11- Garbage left underneath bunkbeds.12-Old articles of clothing left underneath bedroom across from entryway.13-Disgusting used clothing in the hot tub area. 14-Old clothing underneath beds in bedroom adjacent to downstairs bathroom.The rental management was responsive atleast. They gave us a whole 5% off on our rental. The homeowner needs to approve lots of updates, and also let people know that this is a VERY dated home with issues. Never again, put some money into your investment.

There were 6 adults and one 16 year old staying at the property. The facilities were perfect for our group. The hot tub was just what was needed at the end of a long, cold day. Girdwood area is beautiful and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Great location. Next time we go, I'm going to check the opening of the ski resort just minutes away from the rental. It wasn't open when we were in Alaska. It opened days after we left to come home. Beautiful state and location. Definitely recommend to others.

This property has great potential. Good location, spacious and nice kitchen but really needs some repairs, especially the electrical system. We mentioned this in our review with manager and no response.

Nice place, but needs lot of work

The house and location were great. This is a really nice space. Beautiful spot too. The house is suffering from a lack of maintenance though. The oven didn’t work, hot tub would only work on full hot, dishwasher didn’t work, most blinds in the house didn’t work, etc.

Cabin needs updated and stove/ove fixed

Property is very ran down, needs alot of updates and repairs.We could not get the stove or oven to work til day 5 of our trip, local manger came in and fixed it but we still smelled gas when we used either of them, had to open doors and windows to use. We still enjoyed Girdwood and loved the scenery the mountains there are breathtaking.

Communication

We are locals who decided to book a chalet to stay in for a wedding we were attending in the area. Upon arrival the check in information given to me was incorrect. It took 15 minutes of being on hold and prompting the customer service agent for more information. She sounded like she was reading off instructions that we didn’t have. When we got into one lock box - a key was missing (it was under the deck and dishes still in washer) the other lock box has a separate code and so does the door. We were only there for 2 nights (a $900 + weekend though) and the hot tub was Luke warm on our arrival. No instructions or assistance in trying to figure out how to make it work. When i messaged the customer service agent through the app the reply was “sure you can turn the heat down!” We figured it out but for a 2 night stay and only 1 with an actual Hot - Hot Tub is a little frustrating. I feel like if there would have been ab actual host to talk to there wouldn’t have been so many issues. The 3rd step up on the stair case to the master bedroom has a nail sticking up through the carpet. Took my husband and I multiple stabs to remember to walk on the left side of the stair case. The master bedroom bed is 2-Twins pushed together and it feels like they put a piece of plywood down with a piece of memory foam on top and called it a day. All in all this is still a wonderful property- we love girdwood and the fact that we could have our dog with us was a huge game changer.

Beautiful Chalet Stay

Excellent stay in Girdwood. Beautiful chalet in beautiful setting! Well stocked kitchen for cooking, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. Would recommend for families & friend groups. Property photos & listing were accurate. Bonus for us was walkability to beautiful waterfall hike within neighborhood. Also convenient to downtown Girdwood, Aleska Resort, and many activities.

Mother’s Day & 40th Birthday

Our family has found that spending time together under one roof is special. This place was comfortable and clean. The fact pets were welcomed was such a bonus. We had an enjoyable weekend.

Perfect Alyeska Ski Weekend.

The cabin had everything we needed. The open living spaces made for very comfortable meal time & relaxing after skiing. Beautiful views & the hot tub was nice.

Lovely Girdwood Getaway

We spent a ski weekend with our family and enjoyed the house very much. The upper bedroom feels like your sleeping in the tree canopy. Plenty of beds and bedding, well-equipped kitchen, and quiet location.

Rustic Getaway

This is a comfortable place with the rustic feel of Girdwood. The home is spacious and had everything needed for a relaxing long weekend. Very close to the ski slope and great restaurants, yet feels secluded as it is nestled into the trees.
