"I have to admit that, in my case, I didn’t enjoy at all. Staff is so inflexible, I was in a business trip. Impossible to get a cold sandwich after 9pm (arrived at 9:07) no other options in town except an Indian.
The hotel is pet friendly which I like but for the rest not an option for me. A pity because I was expecting something different.
The rooms are fine but too many steps and a bit caotic

"Really well appointed rooms with funky decor, great beds & funiture, and lovely bathrooms. They've done a great job of the hotel and grounds, and it's a great location in the village opposite the church. Easy access to nearby towns, the moors and the coastline. Would highly recommend. A real gem."

"Lovely clean room with a nice bathroom. Perfect for a short stay. Came with tea/coffee, a television and free WI-FI. No mini fridge. We didn't need one so it wasn't an issue.
Breakfast was lovely with a choice of hot food and a continental breakfast. No road noise or unusual bumps in the night so had a wonderful, peaceful sleep.
Useful parking at the rear of hotel and easy access to the town of Thirsk.
Overall a lovely stay. Lovely staff. Lovely food and a lovely part of the world. "
