Welcome to The Steele Magnolia!! Completely renovated 2 bed/1ba plus bonus pull out couch. We are located directly across the street from Von Stiehl Winery and are just a few minutes walk to Crescent Beach!

My husband and I also frequently stay here, I’m letting you know as we may see each other in passing!

Algoma, Wisconsin is a quaint community nestled on the western shore of Lake Michigan at the southern end of the Door Peninsula. Come and take the Charter fishing trip of a lifetime on Lake Michigan, stroll the beautiful sand beach and boardwalk, relax with a glass of wine from a historic winery or spend the day shopping and sightseeing. There is something for everyone!

No matter what you plan to enjoy in Northeast Wisconsin, Algoma is the ideal place to call home base. You can enjoy the peace and quiet and all that Algoma offers while being just a short drive away from Door County to the north, Scenic HWY 42 to the south, and Green Bay to the west.

The property does have parking lot with one designated parking space per unit. For example if you are staying in unit 4, you will be designated parking spot number 4. If you have more than one of car, there is additional parking on the road or at the park down the street.

To access Unit 4 you will want to enter through the large door with the side lights, which is accessed and visible from the parking lot. Unit 4 is the first door to your right.

Opening the front door you will find the floors to have all new luxury vinyl flooring and tastefully decorated. Entering into the living room you will notice I have chosen the seating arrangement to be conversational and inviting. This includes an 84” sleeper sofa couch, relaxing furniture, board games, variety of books and a large smart TV. Note: There is also an AC window unit located in the living room during warmer months. If the temperature is hot outside, I recommend to turn the AC unit on when you check in so you can cool the suite off while your outside enjoying the town!

Through the living room opens up to the kitchen which has all new cabinetry and full tile wall backsplash. In the kitchen I have added a counter height dining room table which includes 4 chairs to try and keep the space open. Through the kitchen, it has another exit door on the Von Stiehl side. You can use the same code to enter either door.

As you stand in the middle of the kitchen and living room areas this will show you the bathroom and both bedrooms. The bathroom is fully renovated which includes a tub/tiled shower and beautifully designed tile floor. Each bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, one of the bedrooms also has a Graco pack n play crib located in the closet. Note: The bedroom to the right has a locked barn door. Inside the locked door are extra supplies for our cleaners. Both bedrooms have plenty of hangers for everyone to utilize.

We are beginning renovations on this property in May 2022. I take great care in designing properties specifically with relaxation in mind and can't wait for you to relax and enjoy this property that is within walking distance to everything in Algoma!

Each unit has 1 parking spot in the parking lot. The parking spot has each unit number listed on the pavement. There is free parking anywhere on the side of streets. The Steele Magnolia is directly walking/biking distance to everything in Algoma, from being across the street from Von Stiehl Winery, Von Stiehl Cider Bar, Anaphee Brewery, Smashed on the Rocks, charter fishing, downtown shopping and food, and the beautiful sand beach and boardwalk.

This property is a 9-unit apartment building. We do have other long-term renters in the building in units 6-9. This summer we plan on having a newly paved parking lot as well!

Laundry:
We do not have any washer and dryer hookups however we are lucky enough to have a laundry mat right next door!

Bugs:
Even though we have sprayed inside and outside twice a year, we are by the water! You can expect to see a few insects here and there.

Such a beautiful apartment, close to the boardwalk, a playground and the downtown area with shops, bars and restaurants. Pet friendly. Everything was clean and fully stocked with nice furnishings and cookware as well as many toiletries. Our host provided us with lots of great suggestions for places to check out and was readily available with any questions we had. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Quaint apartment near water

It was a really clean apartment, Krissi was super nice, and Algoma was a great little town! We stayed on a very warm weekend, and the ac unit couldn’t keep up really. We enjoyed walking down by the water every morning, and the parking spot really helps when the town gets busy on the weekends!

Much Needed Time Away

From the moment we walked in, I knew it was going to be a great stay! Comfy, clean, updated and welcoming! We walked down the street for a great fish fry, enjoyed a drink and rousing game of Scrabble right across the street at the winery. So close to the Peninsula we enjoyed a day trip into Door County. Krissi was great to work with and incredibly accommodating. I highly recommend and would love to stay again!!

Wonderful Dog Friendly Stay!

This place is as cute as it looks in the pictures. We stayed in two of the first floor units and both were newly renovated and had everything we could need for a weekend stay. Super cozy towels, included all linens and even shampoo/conditioner/soap which isn't common for VRBO. It is obvious from first entering the care that has been put in to make it cute and cozy. Even our dog felt at home with dog dishes and a jar of treats. Krissi was extremely quick to help us with anything that we needed, responding in minutes! This was very walkable to the beach front, the pizza bowl, Caffe Tlazzo, and the winery and brewery. Great spot to stay south of the crowds! We will be back.

Nice stay!

Great, well-kept property! The only drawback is that there is a single AC unit in the main area so the bedrooms were warm at night during our summer stay. Otherwise, highly reccomend.

Anniversary Get Away

We loved the place, it perfect for just my husband and I. It was very close to everything, you could walk to the park or downtown to the shops and restaurant. It was also close enough for us to drive into Door County and explore. We definitely enjoyed our time here and plan on coming back!

The property was perfect...the location, the style, the price, etc. Everything needed was provided from kitchen supplies, bedding, etc. Simply put, the stay was exactly what we needed. Charming Spot in Algoma

This place is exactly as advertised. Very new and clean, convenient location and organized with all basics for a relaxed comfortably stay, including free coffee mini station. There is a lot to see in this fishing town whether you walk or drive. Also the beach is minutes close, to walk and get beautiful views of the lake. I would recommend to anyone looking in this area and surrounding locations. Just perfect! Hope to return 😃

The best weekend

My (NEW) husband and I got married the weekend we stayed at this VRBO. It was the best weekend and this apartment provided us with everything necessary to keep us happy through our visit. Everything was clean, organized and they provided extra goodies! The wine was wonderful to celebrate our new marriage and our dog enjoyed the treats provided in the treat jar! The location was spectacular and the home was beautiful. We will definitely stay again and will recommend this place to everyone!!

Steer Roast/Winery Weekend

The property was very clean, easy to get into and comfortable. We attened the Syeer Roast at the Von Stiehl Winery and it was literally across the street. The lake was a block away with a nice walking path close. The Bakery, Skaliwags and a great corner bar were all within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again!
