Alden Sunrise Cabin In Quaint Downtown Alden Near Torch Lake

Located in the in the quaint little village of Alden, pristinely nestled on the sunset shore of Torch Lake, Alden Sunset Cabin is located within a stones throw of beautiful Torch Lake. While not located on the lake, you will be so close that on a quiet night you may be able to hear the waves lap against the shore or the loons sing to each other as the sun sets. Enjoy a camp fire in your own fire pit, hang out on your patio while grilling dinner on your own Weber grill or just relax in the totally renovated log cabin with all the modern amenities and comforts of home. The Alden Sunset Cabin provides parking for 2 vehicles and additional space for a boat trailer on the property. The cabin offers your family (4 people or less) the perfect setting to explore the wonderful world of Torch Lake and Alden.

If you need a 2nd Cabin or just a slightly larger cabin please check out our other cabin. Alden Sunset Cabin (VRBO # 2393347) is located directly next door. Alden Sunset Cabin is virtually identical to Alden Sunrise Cabin with the exception that Alden Sunset Cabin is slightly larger and provides a separate bedroom.

Why would anyone stay in a hotel??

Walk to Alden or Public Beaches or Accesses

The Alden Sunset Cabin is located within a ¼ mile of four public beaches (lake accesses) located along Lake Street which is easily accessed by way of a short trail through the woods on our property. The public beaches are open during the day for your enjoyment and provide a wonderful setting for your family to enjoy the beautiful water of Torch Lake. The public beaches (lake accesses) DO NOT allow overnight mooring of your boat or water craft and are closed at night. Please don’t do this.

Alden Sunset Cabin is a short 1/4 mile walk as well from downtown Alden – a charming small town with a spirit you have to experience to believe. Alden is known for its flower-lined streets where everyone you meet offers a friendly greeting. Alden has several restaurants, and Higgins General Store that has the best, biggest, ice cream cones you could ever eat. The town has cute boutique stores, a deli, family bar, tennis and basketball courts, and a park with a playground. Just at the end of the road are the public boat launch, library and community center. The popular Dockside restaurant is just 10 minutes away by boat or car. Torch Lake’s famous sandbar is also a short boat ride away at the southern end of the lake.

Comfortable Family Cottage

Alden Sunset Cabin is fully furnished and provides central air conditioning for those extra hot summer nights as well as Flat Screen Cable TV and Wi-Fi. We supply all linens, pillows, towels, paper products and soap products. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and all pots and pans as well as a dining table which seats four. We provide a queen sized, pillow top bed along with a pull out couch that converts to a queen size bed. The patio provides a Weber Grill along with an outside table and seating for four. We also provide several comfortable chairs for your relaxation. You can’t go “up north” without enjoying a camp fire and the cabin has its own fire pit along with 4 chairs for everyone’s comfort.

Alden Sunset Cabin is located within the village of Alden on SE Torch Lake Drive and has access to Lake Street which is a very quiet street via a wooded trail west of the cabin. We encourage you to utilize this trail for walks and bike rides. Alden Sunset Cabin has a maximum occupancy of 4 people.

Alden Sunset Cabin is DEFINETLY NOT a party cabin. If you’re looking for a party cottage – please look elsewhere.

My family has lived on this street for over 50 years and we have made life long friends. We respect their right for quiet enjoyment of beautiful Torch Lake and we ask that you do the same. Our summer home is located directly adjacent to the Alden Sunset Cabin.

Alden gem

Perfect location! My husband and I biked everywhere we went! (except to put in/take out our water crafts. But was the shortest drive with many launching locations near by) the cabin had everything we needed and more. There was a very private access point within a 5 minute walk from the cabin that we enjoyed our morning coffee at every morning! We’ve stayed in various areas around torch lake over the years, and this was not only the closest to the lake, but one of the most charming. Alden is our favorite town to visit when coming to torch. And this cabin couldn’t be located in a better spot in town!

Great Stay

We had a great stay. Great place for a dog too. It was clean, perfect amount of space, and so close to Torch Lake. We walked to a public access close by to paddleboard and watch the sunset. Very close to the sandbar public access. The host was very kind and accommodating. We even walked to Alden a few times. We will be back for sure!

Very good experience. A short walk to coffee shop, grocery store and restaurant. Another short walk to Torch Lake. The property is just as listed. The property was very clean and comfortable.

Located in Alden this was a good base camp for our adventure. When we walked in, everything looked spotless, but after being in there a day we started to notice all of the spiderwebs and spiders. The bed was okay, but the pull out couch desperately needs a new mattress. It would be ok for little kids, but not for an adult. I was lucky to have camped on my way to MI so I had my air bed. And last but not least. The noise from the highway was awful. A fence or a hedge would help a little but being so close to a busy road it was just plain noisy.

Perfect!

This little cabin was absolutely perfect! Two adults, a toddler and a young child stayed here and we couldn’t have asked for more. The location is excellent, the cabin was adorable and clean, the property owners were really nice and communicative. We had a wonderful stay!

Comfortable & Convenient

The cabin is adorable with vaulted ceilings and a good size bathroom with a very nice vanity. Storage space is really good. The kitchen is small but adequate. The gas grill and umbrella table with chairs lends themselves to outdoor dining. The downside was the roadside noise. And the fire pit location was socially awkward as it appeared to belong to the other cottage, and another was located at the bottom of hill, difficult to drag the chairs and firewood to its location.

Incredible property and value!

This property was everything you could ask for and more. Being able to walk to Alden and the side streets was very peaceful. Location could not be better for the places we planned our day trips to. We will be back for sure.

Great Stay and Great Host

My wife and I (and our dog) stayed in Paul's cabin for an extended weekend trip. Cabin was very clean and is in a great location -- less than a block from the lake. Downtown Alden has great shops and lake access, and is also within walking distance (or about a minute drive). The cabin is close to the road so, if you are a light sleeper, I recommend putting on some white noise at night (either through a cell phone app or otherwise) to help block out road noise. Paul is also a fantastic host. He was very responsive to questions regarding the property and seemed happy to provide general recommendations regarding the Torch Lake area. My wife and I (and most importantly, our dog, Quincy) thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Torch Lake and our stay at Paul's cabin.

Quaint cottage in Alden close to Torch Lake

Pictures were exactly as cottage looked. CLEAN! Cute! Allowed my small dog!! Comfortable bed, soft linens, toilet paper & Fresh smell! Nice patio! Better than I expected! Big Thank you to the Owner for detail! Owner was available via text or by phone. Good pricing. Would definitely rent again.

Great Cozy Cabin

This cabin was very nice. It was the perfect size for 2 adults. Shops in Alden are super close and lake access with a beach was about a 5 minute walk. It’s also about a minute drive. The cabin is close to Alden highway but it didn’t seem to be very noisy at all. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location! Checked out the surrounding Villages and Cities. So much to see and do kayaking, hiking and restaurants. There is road noise at the cabin but you are only there to sleep. Best of all you can take a short walk and relax on Torch Lake!

Great location!

This was our first trip to Torch Lake. It was great to be able to walk into Alden to visit the shops or just enjoy the view from the public beach accesses or the Alden boat launch. The cabin was just as described.
