We rent out our idyllic vacation villa, which is over 300 m² in size, in the beautiful Spanish town of Alcossebre on the Costa del Azahar (Spanish for “Coast of the Orange Blossom”).

Location:

Alcossebre is still considered an insider’s secret along Spain’s heavily touristed Mediterranean coast. You won’t find any of the usual massive hotel complexes here.

This former small fishing village is located between Barcelona and Valencia and can be reached from the Valencia and Reus airports in about 60 minutes.

Our “Pirate Castle” is situated on a hill at the end of a cul-de-sac with an unobstructed view of the sea, bordering directly on the beautiful “Sierra d’Irta” nature reserve. The nearest of the many fine sandy beaches and the marina, with its bars and restaurants, are a 10-minute walk away.

Shops for daily necessities are easily accessible and plentiful.

Alcossebre and its surrounding areas have consistently topped the rankings for best water quality along Spain’s Mediterranean coast for years.

Fun fact: About 20 km away is Peñíscola, the original filming location for “Game of Thrones” and better known to fans as “Meeren.”

Foodies will also find plenty to enjoy here. In addition to numerous great eateries, there are two Michelin-starred restaurants right on the premises.

Die Villa:

The house, which from the outside has the charm of a pirate’s castle, is fully equipped with state-of-the-art amenities inside and is divided into two separate units.

Access to the house is at ground level and leads step-free across a small bridge to the main entrance. The entrance to the approximately 75 m² apartment is located at the rear of the villa.

The main part of the villa has two floors. On the first floor are a bathroom, kitchen, living/dining room, two bedrooms (each sleeping 2 people), and a spacious terrace.

On the second floor is the master bedroom with a large waterbed and space for 4 people, which can be divided into two separate bedrooms (each sleeping 2 people) via a connecting door. From here, you’ll enjoy a phenomenal, unobstructed 180-degree view—from the nature reserve across the sea and beaches all the way to the mountains. There is also a large bathroom on this level.

Upon entering the apartment on the first floor, you’ll find yourself in a large living area with a kitchenette and a living/dining room featuring a pull-out couch. Adjacent to this large room are a bathroom and a bedroom. Thus, the apartment offers sleeping accommodations and privacy for up to 4 people.

The entire villa therefore has enough space for up to 10–12 people.

Both units have direct access to the Mediterranean-style garden with a large pool, green space, lemon trees, and a relaxation area.
