I ose to return to this hotel because a few years ago I had a wonderful experience, especially with the cleanliness and overall standards. Unfortunately, this recent stay was very disappointing and did not reflect the same quality.
When we arrived, our reservation was not ready and the front desk needed to contact the booking site to resolve the issue. After traveling, having to sit and wait while this was sorted out was frustrating.
Once we accessed our room, we immediately noticed a strong unpleasant odor in the elevator, and later realized a similar smell was coming from the room itself. The sheets were visibly stained, the showerhead was dirty, there was hair throughout the bathroom, and the sink was stained. Overall, the room did not appear to have been properly cleaned.
Additionally, someone dumped trash in the bed of our truck while it was parked on the hotel property. The front desk associate was extremely kind and apologetic and did his best to help, even contacting maintenance to remove the trash. However, no one ever came, and we eventually had to handle the situation ourselves.
I am not seeking compensation. I simply hope management addresses these issues so future guests do not have the same experience. I always try to leave rooms in excellent condition out of respect for housekeeping staff, and I normally leave a tip. However, given the condition of the room upon arrival, I did not feel comfortable doing so this time.
I know this hotel is capable of much better
