Mountain View from front porch was spectacular. Stay was just as great the second time as the first time back in Aug 2025. Home perfect for family in location and overall size and amenities. On Friday night, temps had dropped so we set the thermostat to auto to warm up house and went to bed shortly after. About an hour later, an alarm sounded telling us to evacuate, although after a check of all rooms nothing was wrong. After hearing the alarm a second time, about 10 mins after the first, we contacted the fire department, as a precaution. Fire dept came out and cleared house in moments. We were back in and asleep directly after. I only share this as a thanks to the host for having this type of alert system to give guests that extra peace of mind. And to the fire dept for coming out so quickly and checking everything out.

The host took us last minute after our other VRBO double booked. It was perfect location for us because we could walk 2 blocks to our daughter's house. Rooms were decorated nicely. Better than staying in a hotel. I think we were one of first visitors because little things needed addressing. No working outlets in bathrooms. Cabinets in kitchen a bit wonky. No iron but an ironing board. Little things that im sure they will fix.

Casa Chiliwood had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with essentials, and towels and toiletries were provided, which made packing light easy. The home is well kept and conveniently located near shops and restaurants.The Wi-Fi needed a quick reset but worked fine after that. Hot water runs strong, though with multiple guests, you may want to stagger showers. The fireplace wasn’t working during our visit, but the heating system kept the home warm without issue.Great spot for exploring the petroglyphs and the Albuquerque area.

Casa Chiliwood was fantastic for us. The house was just like the pictures, had everything we needed, and communication with the host was great. Location was perfect for our event at Balloon Fiesta Park. If back in the area, we will plan to stay again.

The comments below outline the key factors I consider when selecting accommodations. I have not covered every amenity.Overview: I felt extremely calm and relaxed during my stay at Casa Chiliwood. I loved the layout of the house. It was both spacious and cozy, beautifully decorated with indigenous art. I also appreciated the host's prompt response to any questions or concerns I had. Kitchen/Family Room: My favorite space! When we made meals, we could be together, visiting with those sitting on the couch. The refrigerator is very nice and has both ice and water in the door. There's a very nice dishwasher, plenty of dishware and cookware, extras like snacks, large "ball" ice cubes, and a very easy-to-use grill on the patio outside. Everything was spotless.Beds & Bedding: We only used the main and third bedrooms, but both beds were optimally supportive without being too firm. The bedding was excellent: soft, satiny cotton - precisely what I use at home.Family Room Couch: The big sectional was soft and very comfortable. I easily fell asleep while watching TV. Comfy furniture is a very high priority! Thanks, Matthew, for the detailed instructions, essential information, and reasonable checkout requests! It was a pleasure communicating with you and a wonderful experience staying at Casa Chiliwood.

Great Stay

Overall we were extremely pleased with our stay at Casa Chiliwood! The house was spacious, well decorated and beds were very comfy. We had an issue with the hot water on Friday night when we arrived and Matt responded very quickly and had it fixed first thing in the morning. I highly recommend staying here!

Great spot to see Albuquerque!

We chose this spot because it was central to many things we wanted to check out in the area. Great place with plenty of space! Nice kitchen to use and a complimentary K-Cup tree so I had morning coffee! Overall, this was a great start for is!

Great layout!

This house has a great layout and it’s so nice to have a second living area. The house was clean and neat with everything we needed. The traffic from Unser can sometimes be loud and can wake you at night. Overall it was nice and we would stay again .

Home away from home!

This property is like walking into somebody's home! Well furnished, lovely art work, comfy beds, great bathrooms. I was incredibly impressed with how well the kitchen is supplied and the quality of everything! We never got around to using the gas grill. Nice outdoor patio. Great neighborhood. Traffic from nearby thoroughfare can be a little distracting, but we got use to it! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We felt very spoiled!

The property was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed it's close proximity to the Petroglyphs National Monument and many other hiking trails. The property was close to many restaurants and retail stores.
